I've had to have a rethink about how comfortable I've gotten in the last year with @gripandripuk and how easily I've fallen into the routine of competition set ups and following my set system for my photography and videography.
Don't get me wrong, my weekend system for competitions serves a purpose. I have my processes, I have my competition angle, I know exactly what I am looking to achieve at every single event and I manage to execute every single time because of the processes I have worked on over the last 18 months.
But a system and processes does not allow room for creativity, expression or experimentation. I don't get a chance to get up out of my seat and run about with my camera and see what cool shots I can get or to explore what else is possible.
Last Friday I had a free-ish afternoon available to me so I drove down to @wildboarweightliftinglydney club which is only 30 minutes from my house and I just let loose!
One thing that afternoon taught me is there is definitely no excuse for not getting into photography or videography.
If you're in this space and you want to film weightlifters or any sport for that matter. Grab your camera and get your ass to the nearest gym/field and shoot away!

Hell everyone!
Just a quick update with you all! I will be looking to get another video up ASAP! I have been given a wonderful opportunity to now work at @WeightliftingHouse as their new media editor and I've been moving up to Birmingham since the release of the Taranenko video.
Look forward to seeing what story we uncover next.
