Cosmic Dusk Mission Update

The launch of Cosmic Dusk, our first free-flying private mission to high orbit and exploration into the Van Allen Belts’ radiation environment, is now set for liftoff in less than 14 hours! A detailed launch schedule will be announced shortly.

Mission Objectives:

Cosmic Dusk's primary objective is scientific research focused on space travel and the long-term human presence in the cosmos beyond Earth's protective magnetic field. Additionally, Jebediah and Valentina will embark on a historic EVA (spacewalk) approximately five days after reaching orbit to conduct critical research and collect valuable data on spacesuit performance and radiation effects at higher altitudes. This data is vital for future crewed missions into deeper space.

Crew:

The crew of Cosmic Dusk consists of:
- Jebediah (Commander)
- Valentina (Astrophysicist)
- Bill (Chief Engineer)
- Bob (Mission Specialist)

Stay Informed:

We will provide updates on launch preparations, mission progress, and scientific findings as they become available. Please follow official channels from Saturn Aerospace for the most up-to-date information.

Hey! At the moment, we are experiencing a temporary suspension of operations to retrain and prepare for the rest of the year ahead.

We are sorry for all of our customers who will not receive their launches on the planned date, but we will try our best to launch all of our payloads as soon as time permits.

Thank you for your continued support during this time period.

KerbSat-2 Update

Today's mission was interesting to say the least, countdown to flight was nominal and without issue. Ignition and liftoff were nominal as well, ascent on it's own appeared to be nominal.

However on stage seperation, the booster flipped around and was supposed to initiate a boostback burn. We did not receive any data or video feed during this time, the Propulsion operator could not confirm any burn occured.

We have no confirmation whether or not any propellant leakage or other issues with Stage 1 occured, it's path ended with a termination command from the Range.

Stage 2's engine cutoff appeared to be fairly early, we are investigating at this tine.

We apologize to our customer, Internal; and we will work with the FAA to get the next flight up.

We have lost communications with Methone and currently unable to get any footage from it right now but we are trying to get in communications with the Deep Space Network and see if they can acquire good signal. Should get updates tomorrow on how that is going.

Methone just completed a full duration burn of its engine and is on its way to Mars. For the past 20 hours prior to the Mars Injection burn, Methone has completed tests to recondense some of its boiled off hydrogen and oxygen propellant and put it back into the main tanks. Later on today we will upload views from Methone as right now we are working to begin the deployment sequence for SIMP DEMO-2A. Again Congratulations to the Rhea Team for achieving such a historic milestone yesterday!

Rhea Update!

We are now closing in on our 5th test flight of the fully stacked Rhea vehicle.
With this test comes many different tasks, including fully reaching orbit and testing our new kickstage - Methone.

Methone is a kickstage designed to increase payload capacity and mass so that we can reuse and save fuel on Rhea & Iapetus - due to Methone doing most of the interplanetary work and reducing required effort from the main launcher.

We hope to test this on our next flight and send some payload into orbit.

All six Engines on Rhea successfully fired for a duration of 6 seconds which was performed flawlessly. Next up is rollout of SA-10 to the pad and Rhea stacked on top for the flight readiness firing next week! After that, Rhea will rollback for payload Integration and then restack for launch by the end of the month!

#1 - Phoebe Update: Phoebe has now made its 28th launch in total, we are proud to announce that none of our launches have failed yet to this date and we are extremely happy about the reliability of Phoebe. We are still looking for customers to submit their payload to go onto our launch manifest, so if you would like to get a launch on Phoebe. Go to our booking form and fill it out!

#2 - Rhea Update: Rhea is making its return, you heard me correctly. Rhea is making it's return to Saturn Aerospace, we have had two failures with our Rhooper test vehicle but failure is always before success. You must test things before they succeed in the real world, so SB-01 our second stage test tank will begin testing very soon. We are currently targeting the Rhea Orbital Flight for NET June 30th, but this launch can be pushed back and probably will be.

#3 - Phoebe Heavy: Phoebe Heavy has made its return to flight after two years in storage! Phoebe Heavy successfully lifted off from LC-39A on April 27th at 3:45pm ET, this makes our 3rd flight for Phoebe Heavy. We are now also looking for payloads to launch on Phoebe Heavy, we do have available positions for Phoebe. Our Next launch for Phoebe Heavy will be NET July 2023, we currently have no payload so get to booking! sites.google.com/view/saturnaerospace/Launch_With_…
