Just scored a $30K package to the Bahamas, and it was a wild finish. Folded with 0.001 of a blind left—literally holding on by a thread. The next hand had me set to go all-in, but then, on another table, someone shoves, a player busts, and just like that, I’m through!

So, high stakes have decided to ghost me recently. Apparently, I’m now a $10 warrior instead of a deep stack Short Deck champion. Guess I’ll be living that tournament life—good ol' "Plan B" coming in clutch. Not what I signed up for, but hey, at least I have options.
On the challenge front, we’re hitting the halfway mark: $60K of $150K. I’ve got a shot, I’ve got some energy left… and the rest? We’ll just have to see.

Today, I finally managed to grind properly for the first time in a week. Moving, birthday celebrations — it was all great, but now the setup in my new studio is ready, and I’m back in the game. Still got a lot of work ahead, but the goal is to hit that 100K, so get ready! 💪🃏🚀

My challenge has been quite tough so far. I initially shot up to +60k, then dropped to -2k, a few days ago it was +40k, and now it’s 20k. But that’s all part of the process because things can’t always be as perfect as this incredibly artistic autumn.

Back from the mountains and facing new challenges: balancing life and poker 🎲⛰️
Since we returned from the mountains, the perfect opportunity to play poker seems to have disappeared. Instead of long sessions, I’m squeezing in short ones of 30-40 minutes. No major wins so far, but as they say, “slow and steady.” There might be some truth to that.
As soon as we got back, my wife fell ill, and now I’m in multitasking mode: driving the kids to school, doctors, and activities, plus handling breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Poker has taken a back seat, but I’m trying to catch some time for short sessions. Free time is scarce, but I’m hoping to get back to streaming over the weekend.

t’s only been 10 days, but it feels like a whole year has passed. So much has happened: hitting the jackpot in Heads-Up, incredible highs, and painful lows. One day, I even spent 10 hours streaming at a single $5000 NL table – a true poker marathon. Right now, my results are well above average for these 10 days, but the fatigue is real. This Saturday, my family, friends, and I are heading out for a three-day getaway – I just hope I have enough energy left until then. Thank you all so much for your support; it truly inspires me to keep going. Time to rest – off to catch some sleep.

On Variance and Rake in Short Deck: What 13K Hands Tell Us
Recently, I’ve been grinding the Short Deck VIP tables on GGPoker. Don’t ask how much time that took—there were breaks, offline trips, and other life adventures. But in the end, I’ve got 13K hands at $50-100 ante. Oh, and there are 32 hands at $200 ante too, but those are just a drop in the bucket, as you can imagine.
Looking at the graph, you can see how the variance tossed me around—Short Deck variance is something else! But it’s not all doom and gloom—you’ll find EV win rates and rake in the table. People often ask: how much rake and what are the win rates? Well, this is what I’ve got so far. There’s no bigger sample yet, but I’m diligently gathering more for you. More to come soon!

The last few days haven’t been going too well, and I’m definitely not in my optimal state. I’m getting about 6 hours of sleep and playing over 10 hours a day. But the main thing is that the game goes on! Imagine grinding high stakes every day for 10+ hours — that's the real power of streaming.
