Horizons only had three days of operation left when I first ventured to Epcot in January of 1999. Without a video camera, all I could do was ride the attraction over and over again trying to absorb every last detail. Nothing will ever compare to experiencing Horizons in person. It was a true testament to the vision and spirit of Walt Disney and those alike, you could feel it at every turn. The unfortunate closure inspired me to document whatever moment or place I thought might have some worth to myself or others down the road. Even though it is not always easy to enjoy someone else's perspective, I have grown to appreciate the views of many others, especially when it comes to closed attractions. So after many years of holding onto my collection of footage for fear that it would be stolen, copied or claimed by others, I'm going to share it with the world. Or at least the so many thousands of us who actually look this stuff up. Thank you to all who share your footage selflessly!
