Samsung Galaxy S25 FE.
This seems to be a love or hate type of device. Some comments from my recent video:
“nope, not for me. expensive e-waste.”
“I have a pixel 8 and I’m not a huge fan, miss my Samsung build. So glad I was just offered my free upgrade for this 25fe can’t wait”
The main arguments I hear are to either buy last year’s flagship or save up a few hundred more $ to get the current flagship and forget this product all together.
The problem is that Samsung only offers “Re-Newed” Galaxy S24 devices on their site. The S24+ is currently $800 with poor trade-in options.
Meanwhile this S25 FE is $650 brand new and you can trade-in any phone for $150 off effectively making this $500 or less for the rest of time.
When there is a $300 price gap it leaves me no choice but to appreciate that this phone exists for people who aren’t interested in flagship prices but still want a good all around phone.

Black iPhone 17 (no edits).
I’ll show an edit-free shot of the black iPhone Air in case it isn’t obvious already.
The “black” iPhone 17 is gray.
Samsung does the same thing so it’s not just an Apple issue.
Not sure why companies continue to do this. Thoughts?

iPhone Air (Black).
After a few days of use I am loving the look and feel of this phone.
Battery life looks promising initially with 7 hours screen time over 1.5 days for my last battery cycle. Consisted of social media use, web browsing, texting and occasional camera use all at high brightness.
The single speaker setup and slow USB-2 type c port are disappointing considering so many other premium aspects going into this phone and the $1000 price.
I am concerned about thermals, not from a longevity standpoint but simply from the display dimming during intensive tasks. In my initial testing my Air’s display dimmed after a few minutes of 4k60 recording while charging on MagSafe which is noticeably sooner than my other iPhones. I am eager to do more testing in this area so stay tuned if you’re curious.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11.
This is the 2nd best 11” tablet currently available. It is still behind the M4 iPad Pro with Tandem OLED definitely being the best 11” tablet right now.
There’s still some aspects I prefer on the Tab S11 though.
The newly designed S Pen, while cheaper feeling, is lighter weight and feels better for longer writing sessions.
The new DeX experience is VERY good on these new Tab S11’s.
The Tab S11 has been versatile between using it with XL mobile gaming controllers and propping it up with its Book Cover case and using a keyboard alongside it (Logitech G915 TKL).
