PADDY COCKTAIL
Today is the 10th anniversary of Distinguished Spirits. Pretty mind blowing to think about. This was the first drink I made a video about. Itâs just a Manhattan with Irish whiskey and a blackberry for garnish. I didnât have any blackberries on hand, so I had to swap in a blueberry. Pretty solid substitution.
I havenât been able to make a video in ages. Hopefully one day thatâll change. Until thenâŚslĂĄinte!

This is the revised Clover Club with dry vermouth. So itâs a martini and a sour all in one.
2 oz gin
1 oz dry vermouth
0.75 oz đ
0.5 oz raspberry syrup

I saw this recipe posted by Chuck Taggart. It was a something his husband, Wesly Moore, came up with. It tastes like a citrusy, bittersweet cousin of the martini. Kind of like a Hanky Panky riff.
Anodyne Cocktail
2 oz 94° London Dry Gin
1 oz Lillet blanc
0.5 oz Punt e Mes
3 dashes orange bitters
đ twist
Stir & strain, garnish with a lemon twist
They recommend Tylerâs City of London gin and Reganâs orange bitters. I had Tanqueray and used Scrappyâs orange bitters. I suppose if you keep Cocchi Americano around to make Vespers, you could use that instead of Lillet but youâd want to use a regular sweet vermouth, as youâd be getting your touch of bitterness from the Americano.

What are you drinking this weekend?
The tiki drink named after the WWII rallying cry: V for Victory. I hadnât had one in a while. I kinda forgot how good it was.
Bartenders are a little superstitious about using an even number in their garnishes, so one olive or 3 olives, never 2. But in this case, the 2 pineapple fronds makes a great V and a secondary indication of V for victory, just in case the 3 cherries and a pineapple dash was too subtle.

Adios 2021! What are you drinking tonight?
MOJITO
2 oz (60ml) light rum
1 oz (30ml) simple syrup
0.75 oz (22ml) lime juice
handful of mint leaves
top with soda (approx. 1 oz/30ml)
Muddle mint with simple. Add lime and rum. Shake with ice. Double strain over ice in a long glass. Garnish with mint.

Making great cocktails at home for amateurs, enthusiasts and everyone in between.
I'm a home bartending enthusiast, but I've never worked in a bar. My focus is usually on how to make great drinks at home. This includes classics, forgotten drinks, modern drinks and occasionally some originals. I also do episodes on how to make some DIY syrups, liqueurs, punches, etc, in a segment called Booze in the Kitchen. I have another sub-set series that focuses on how to drink like James Bond called Cocktails and Pussy Galore. The Bond series focuses on the drinks described in the pages of the 007 books by Ian Fleming. Most of the drinks were Bond's favorites and where applicable, I used the bottles he used, but there were some drinks imbibed by Bond Girls, Bond Villains and Bond Allies as well. There are also a couple episodes about drinks that are similar to ones Bond had or were inspired by Bond.
