Drawing from Latin American music with its lush flute and exotic nylon guitar picking, backed by Jazzy sizzling drums and Bossa Nova styled percussion, โOrange Octoberโ is perhaps the most exotic and far out track from Joe Ghattโs new album.
It comes with a music video that ties perfectly with the songโs mystical undertones. Co-directed by Joe and his partner Courtney Ghatt, and shot by @itchybones_media around New Zealand, it follows Joe on an epic adventure that becomes stranger at every turn.

Recorded at home in Perth, Australia during February 2022, G.G Ryder is heavily inspired by American folk, blues and cosmic country bands from the 1960s and 70s such as Bobby Charles, J.J Cale and The Flying Burrito Brothers, to name a few. Stephen Bailey approached each instrument as if they were being played by an individual with their own tones and playing styles, which gives the songs a live band feel. Baileyโs tasteful use of slide guitar and flute across many of the songs brings everything together for a cohesive listening experience. Lyrically, G.G. Ryder is about the simple things in life that we appreciate more with time and experience โ it's also about love, loss and bringing people together.
