I'm RICH!


LOL, I've been hearing about how lucrative Kindle Direct Publishing could be for a while.


So I decided to launch 2 books and find out for myself.


Key take aways after 2 months...

1) It's definitely not "get rich quick" but obviously that's a good thing b/c it's an actual business model that you can actually get results with (just not overnight).
2) It takes work. You can automate and outsource a LARGE amount of this. But it will take some $ and some time to rank your books.
3) This seems really promising to be honest. I don't do anything for this, have barely put any effort into it, and it's still generating some $ passively now. Granted $16 every 24 days isn't anything to brag about...but with some more reviews, a higher ranking in specific sub categories on amazon, and some better books in the future as I figure this out more and more, I genuinely think this could turn into something REAL.


Official Ruling on KDP = Not a scam. Definitely legit. But just like anything it takes consistent work over time.

***How to Kickstart Your YouTube Automation Channel***

A while ago, I decided to take on the challenge of setting up my very own YouTube automation channel. The process may sound daunting at first, but once you understand the basics, it becomes a lot easier. Today, I'm going to take you on my personal journey, sharing the ins and outs of this exciting venture.


1. Understanding the Basics
Creating videos for a YouTube automation channel is relatively straightforward. Essentially, you need three primary components:

-Script: This is the backbone of your video content.
-Voiceover: Your script's audible rendition.
-Video Graphics: The visuals complementing your voiceover that viewers will watch.

Once you have these three, you can seamlessly combine them into an engaging video to upload to your channel.


2. Crafting a Compelling Script
There are multiple approaches to script creation. You can write your own, bringing a personal touch to your content. If writing isn't your forte or you're pressed for time, hiring someone is an option. There are platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, and onlinejobs.ph where you can find skilled scriptwriters for relatively cheap.


3. Voiceover: Your Video's Soundtrack
The voiceover gives life to your script.

You can either:
-DIY: Record the script yourself.
-Hire: Get professionals to do it for you (again fiverr, upwork, etc).
-Tech-Savvy Route: Use a text-to-speech software for an automated voice (might not be as quality sounding and might turn off some viewers).

Each method has its pros and cons (cost vs. time spent vs. quality).


4. Vibrant Video Graphics
For the visual aspect, there are several routes to consider:

-Creative Commons Videos: Platforms like YouTube offer Creative Commons licensed videos that you can incorporate into your content. But, always make sure to cross-check the licensing terms (simply scroll down in the description of the video and make sure the license is indeed creative commons – reuse allowed). You can find these videos easily by using youtube’s search filter for creative commons videos when searching for specific topics and keywords. Remember though, you can't just re-upload someone else's entire video; the key is in the editing, changing it up enough, and ensuring it complements your script to retain viewers.

-Royalty Free Videos and Image Slideshows: To avoid any potential copyright hiccups, you might prefer using royalty-free sites. They offer a plethora of high-quality images suitable for video content, as well as video clips too. Some examples of great sites you can sign up for are: pexels, pixabay, storyblocks, shutterstock, or invideo. If you opt for this, remember to keep the pace fast and don’t rely solely on the entire length of each clip or your viewer retention might suffer.

-Pictory: This was a game-changer for me. Pictory is software that transforms your script into a captivating video, using relevant images and videos. It saved me immense time, as it automates the graphics editing process, making my content creation journey so much smoother. I initially began this journey thinking I'd have to hire a team or invest huge sums into video creation. YouTube Monetization - My Journey and Tips for Success



I remember the first time I considered monetizing my YouTube channel. It was a whirlwind of excitement, anticipation, and a heap of questions. Today, I'll walk you through my journey, hoping it provides clarity and inspiration for budding creators.



1. Deciphering the Monetization Guidelines:
During my early days of content creation, I stumbled upon Google's official page detailing YouTube's monetization guidelines. It felt like an overwhelming list, but I quickly realized most creators around the world are eligible, with just a few exceptions based on country availability.



The foundational requirements are straightforward:
• Live in a country where the program is available.
• Have no community guidelines strikes.
• Accumulate over 4,000 hours of valid public watch hours.
• Gain more than 1,000 subscribers.
• Link an AdSense account.



While these requirements might seem daunting, especially the watch hours and subscriber count, they are put in place to ensure creators produce original, valuable content. Simply re-uploading someone else's videos won't cut it anymore; YouTube is keen on unique content.



2. The "Shortcuts" to Monetization:
I often got asked if there were any shortcuts to reaching these requirements. My answer? There aren’t any real shortcuts, but there are strategies that can help speed up the process…



a. Embracing YouTube Shorts:
YouTube Shorts was a game-changer for me. These are vertical videos, reminiscent of TikTok or Instagram Reels, and they often rake in more views and subscribers than standard videos. However, a crucial point to note is that watch time from Shorts doesn’t count towards the 4,000 hours needed for monetization. Yet, they're invaluable for broadening your audience reach, which can indirectly bring more views to your normal long form videos when you upload those.



b. Cultivating a Growth Mindset:
Initially, I was overly eager to monetize, but I soon realized that rushing the process can lead to frustration. Instead, I shifted my focus on crafting a library of quality videos. This strategy paid off when one of my videos caught traction. Viewers stayed around, binging on other videos, which bolstered my watch time on the overall channel.



Each new video was an opportunity—a potential magnet for a new viewer. But to retain them, I had to offer more than just a single piece of engaging content. A consistent library of quality content ensures viewers stick around, leading to longer session times, which YouTube loves!



3. Patience is a Virtue:
One of my biggest takeaways was understanding YouTube’s nature. In the beginning, it's about building a repository of videos around a specific theme. Even if initial videos gain minimal traction, it's essential to persist. Your goal should be to craft compelling content consistently. With time, one video might garner attention and, in turn, spotlight your entire channel.



To all budding creators, remember: YouTube's design initially might seem discouraging, but it’s a test of your dedication and the quality of your content. The more valuable content you churn out, the higher your chances of gaining visibility, watch time, and subscribers. Ultimately, it’s a snowball effect, with one success leading to another, propelling your channel to new heights. Stay consistent, be patient, and most importantly, enjoy the journey.

...and already got the first order!

There's still A LOT I don’t know about this platform, but I think I’m on to something.

If you want to get into amazon dropshipping but you don’t have experience with 1)amazon or 2)dropshipping…I typically suggest starting with retail suppliers first.



That will allow you to learn the ropes and build up some initial money to then take into wholesale dropshipping, which is more sustainable, more scalable long term, and can be done within Amazon’s terms of service.



That said, a few caveats…

1. This should not be a long term option. Do this for a short period of time to learn how amazon dropshipping works and get some initial money.

2. ONLY use obscure retail suppliers that customers won’t recognize. You can’t use big box brands and recognizable stores.

3. Your metrics still matter a lot (and always will). If you’re keeping your metrics up and keeping amazon’s customers happy, selling ANY way on Amazon will be a lot easier for you. They care about their customers first and foremost.



I’ve compiled a spreadsheet I recently found from the beginning of my Amazon Retail Dropshipping Journey. There are 383 products on it (all from my actual dropshipping business that I used to sell personally).



I no longer retail dropship on amazon. I’ve moved 100% into wholesale as of 2 months ago. For a while I was holding on to a few retail products just because it was difficult to let go of their consistent easy profit. But I’ve made a clean switch and now solely focus on wholesale dropshipping on Amazon.



These are all products from over a year ago, but there very well could still be some good profitable products on this spreadsheet. Also, keep in mind that some of the suppliers on this list ARE NOT GOOD. Do not use them (ex. Walmart, target, bed bath and beyond, etc…).



But there are some good examples of obscure suppliers that will get you thinking. You’ll see some of my top obscure retail suppliers (like Musician’s Friend, Academy Sports, Acme Tools, etc…). These are still good suppliers…but obviously you want to find your own good obscure suppliers b/c that’s where the money is (and not much competition is).



You’ll also notice the way I set my spreadsheet up is exactly what I recommend for beginners (I do the same exact thing). I have several product identifiers, the link to the product on the supplier site (which I then put into sku grid), the break even price so I know what to set my repricer too, etc…



I have a video dropping Monday where I break down how I found these suppliers, talk a bit more in depth about it, and also cover how to decipher what is a “good obscure supplier” vs. a bad supplier that customers will recognize and ultimately get you suspended.



I’ve also compiled a spreadsheet where I give my opinion on what suppliers you might be able to get away with vs. ones you should definitely avoid. Remember, it’s not an exact science. It’s more of an art.



All in all, the best way to approach dropshipping on Amazon is with Wholesale suppliers. But I understand that lots of people can’t start there…so this is the next best option (and the first step)…to get you to the next one.

What's Currently Working in eCommerce this Month...







***Poshmark Dropshipping***

I’ve been screaming about Poshmark Dropshpping for 2+ years…but it still seems like only a select number of people are listening. With consistent listing here for a month ish, you can pretty much make sales on autopilot with sharing software (once you have lots of listings up).



The trick is getting the listings up, but you can do that with about an hour of listing a day for a month or so (with the bulk lister from zeedrop). Then constantly use the auto sharing software to bring more sales by keeping all your listings at the top of search and suggested.



Season specific clothes always sell well here, but at the moment I’m selling A LOT of garden décor too.









***Mercari Dropshipping***

This is the only place I dropship that I don’t publicly teach (because they sent me a cease and desist letter to stop making youtube videos about how you can do it). But I still dropship here myself every single month.



It’s super underrated as a dropshipping site, you can make decent amounts of sales and scale up a store relatively quickly, and a lot of the things that sell well on ebay or facebook marketplace also do well here too.



I’ve consistently sold things like power tools, electronics, car parts, and every day replacement parts (fan battery, shed window, extra screws that are specific sizes, etc.). But that’s only scratching the surface. I can’t recommend this platform enough. It will take some listing consistently…and obviously with the right products…but you can make decent money on this platform for sure.



Key things to keep in mind when dropshipping here:

Don’t use stock images on your listings or you’re rolling the dice. It only takes mercari flagging you for something like this a few times to lose your account. Sure, you can get a way with it for a time, but why risk it? Instead, build a long term sustainable dropshipping business here THE RIGHT WAY.
Make sure you’re not dropshipping directly from a supplier that won’t give you a fedex, ups, or usps tracking number (ex. Amazon tba tracking numbers or Walmart door dash deliveries).


Two main ways you can dropship here:

1. Directly to the customer: use listings that have product images without stock photos. A perfect example of these are some ebay listings where it looks like the seller took product images themselves. Another great example of this is some poshmark listings where the seller took the product images themselves.

2. Dropship Arbitrage: use suppliers like amazon or Walmart (or anywhere that will deliver the product to your house within 2-3 days). Then list and ship with the mercari label, but order that product to your house from the supplier FIRST after you make the sale. This works extremely well..and in my opinion is the safest way to dropship forever on this platform without ever getting caught. The key caveat here is you NEED to ONLY use product review images when doing this. Don’t use images right off the listing (those images look way too stock photo ish and will get your account flagged over time).








***Amazon Dropshipping***

One of the most automated and scalable forms of dropshipping. There’s software that will do everything for you (but order processing). The toughest part of this is finding profitable products, but once you do that…everything is automated and you can just sit back and collect whatever profit your listings yield.



I recommend wholesale dropshipping here because it’s scalable and within Amazons terms of service. Although, if you’re new and you don’t have any amazon selling experience or any start up capital, then I do recommend dropshipping with obscure retail suppliers (not well known stores) temporarily to get some experience and capital to then move into wholesale with.



This has been the most consistent form of dropshipping for me over the past few years…and it’s also been the most hands off for me (because of the software). I’ve covered pretty much every strategy and software I use in this playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSeZx...









***Etsy Dropshipping***

This platform has me really excited. It’s the newest one for me by far so full disclosure (I’m still mastering it). But I’ve consistently scaled my store here by outsourcing graphic design to a freelancer I found on Onlinejobs.ph for $2.50 an hour.



He creates high quality designs extremely cheap (way better than I used to make when I was doing everything manually). But you don’t have to outsource this if you want to create them yourself. It just takes a little skill (can be learned easily) and some time for each design.



The best part about dropshipping on etsy is you can leverage print on demand companies like printful to do everything for you once your design is uploaded. That means it’s 0 work for you after that and any sales you make don’t require any extra effort on your part. They’ll handle the printing, the shipping, inputting the tracking number into your order, and everything in between.



Remember: You can’t dropship directly from other retail websites here. That’s against their terms of service. So you need to use print on demand or digital art. I prefer print on demand (better margins and more hands off). Also, remember NOT to copy any big brand logos when doing this. For example, you can’t put a star wars design up…or you can’t put the target logo on a shirt.



What works best for me here:

Finding other seller’s best selling designs and creating similar designs with my own spin on them (just slightly different). I’ll use the same overall idea but switch it up a bit to differentiate mine. I’ll also use their SEO (it worked for them), but I’ll add to it to improve it so we can hopefully out rank them eventually with some sales and reviews.
Key distinction for what I said above: I don’t copy. I use other people’s designs as inspiration…and then create something similar. The best people in any industry understand this is the quickest and easiest path to success. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Kobe “copied” MJ. YouTuber’s copy video ideas when they see them working for another YouTuber. And dropshipping snipe other sellers. People get mad at me when I say this. But hey…I’m not here to tell you what’s going to make everyone happy to hear. The purpose of this newsletter is to tell you what WORKS.

***Facebook Marketplace/Shops Dropshipping***

Facebook Marketplace/Shops used to be like stealing candy from a baby. While you won’t get stupidly high sales here just listing any old thing like before, you can still make consistent monthly sales if you’re listing products that are in demand.



Last year the bar was set so high. So the sales you’ll get currently with product research and consistent listing might seem low comparatively, but if this were a new website and we were all getting these “low” results, we’d be really encouraged.



Obscure suppliers that not many other people are listing from work best here (less competition). I’ve also been listing used stuff from ebay (with multiple quantity), which seems to work decently because it fits well with the marketplace vibe. I’ve also been trying dropship arbitrage lately too (just a theory), but it almost seems like their algorithm has gone back to favoring used items and sellers that ship from their registered location (again just a theory at this point, but I’ll report back with more long term results).





***Bonanza Dropshipping***

Bonanza is a relative newcomer to this list. The fact that you can sync your inventory automatically from whatever marketplaces/websites you’re already selling on is amazing. On top of that, you can also list manually here too.



Another benefit of this platform is they’ll actually run google shopping ads to your products for you…and only charge you a small percentage of your profit after you make a sale. So it’s all reward and no risk. Because I highly recommend you turn this on, and because of the nature of google shopping ads, I suggest listing higher ticket items here (or mark your products up a decent amount) to account for the google shopping ad percentage.



But ultimately, this is a phenomenal website to list on because at the very least it’ll bring you free sales and profit without any extra effort on your part.
