About
The YRC is a tenor-bass a cappella ensemble specializing in traditional secular and sacred music from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, and several other East European countries. The group is made up of about sixteen Yale students and members of the greater New Haven community from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. Our artistic director, Mark Bailey, is a renowned specialist in the field of Slavic music, and has been leading the YRC for nearly 20 years. We are dedicated to introducing audiences to a rarely heard and remarkably beautiful genre of music that spans the 12th to the 21st century.
