Kung nagpada ako sa peer pressure dati sa mga sinasabi ng iba na, "Engineer ka, dapat may kotse ka," o "Saan yung kotse mo? Wala? Dapat may kotse ka, boss," malamang hindi ko nagawa ang mga bagay na gusto ko.
For context, dati akong Civil Engineer (hanggang ngayon naman licensed pa rin ako, pero hindi ko na pinapractice, hehe). Ang trabaho ko noon ay fieldwork. Nagcocommute lang ako from point A to point B kahit pa abutin ako ng Sorsogon. Reimbursable naman, pero pagdating ko sa site, halos hulas na ako. Para sa iba, parang nakakahiya na "licensed Civil Engineer" ka pero walang sariling kotse at nagfi-fieldwork pa. Pero para sa akin, wala namang problema. Hindi naman tayo binigyan ng company car para mas maging efficient, kaya I just did what I could, di ba?
Fast forward to todayโ3 years na pala akong wala don, at ngayon full-time na akong nag-iinvest, nagte-trade, at gumagawa ng content. Ang saya na walang unnecessary debt sa car loans. Buti na lang talaga hindi ako nagpada sa peer pressure, kasi kung oo, hindi ko mararanasan yung chill lifeโlike having coffee here in Taiwan, hehe.
P.S.: Ingat sa mga downpayment ng kotse, guys. Mura nga sa una, pero papatayin ka sa monthly payments. Baka sa huli, ma-remata ka pa. Be wise in purchasing a car. Sa amin, hindi naman kami laging lumalabas, at na-compute ko na mas makakamura pa kami sa Grab kahit every week, kesa sa mag-maintain ng kotse. Kaya uulitin ko, be wise! :)

This is what depression can look like. That was me, exactly 5 years ago. Yep, I was depressed, and no one knewโnot even my wife.
What got me through it? Inspiring stories, motivational quotes, and my wifeโs constant support, even when my trading portfolio was down 50% and we were barely covering our expenses. She stood by me, even though she had no idea how much I was struggling inside.
Sometimes, all we need is a bit of positivity. Be kindโyou never know what someone else is dealing with. And if youโre feeling down, try to step back from negativity and toxic people.
Unfollow toxic accounts, distance yourself from negative vibes, listen to some good music, and focus on what youโre grateful for. Hope that helps! Happy Sunday, everyone!

I'm super proud sa mga athletes natin na nakapag-compete sila at the highest level, kahit limitado ang resources at kailangan nilang mag-grind sa ibang trabaho just to get by, all while training with no assurance na makaka-Olympics sila. The fact na nandun sila is already a manifestation of greatness, and sana hindi matapos ang career nila without a medal. Bilang isang Pinoy, relate ako sa struggle nila kasi alam ko ang hirap na pagdaanan para ma-improve ang buhay natin. Salamat, at kita-kits sa next Olympics!
