What is your definition of a high performance person?
Being all that you can be every day.
24, 7, 365 being all you can be.
What can we do? What is most important?
The most important thing is self-esteem.
The people that do we read about the people that we admire, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett, etc.
all have one thing in common. they have extremely high self-esteem. and
Of course, you've heard me say this before self-esteem is built the first 7 or 8 years of life
and unfortunately we're with our parents the first 7 or 8 years of life.
Ergo we don't have too much high self-esteem but to build high self-esteem and the way you build high self-esteem,
if you're 25, 35 or 45 is to... be around, surround yourself with other people that have high self-esteem.
Show me your friends and I'll show your future.
and so you can still you can reverse your childhood by who you associate with.
How do you do that? well, you find people that are,
where you want to be but they're already there.
You're 22 years old, you're 32, you're 41 years old
and there's a guy or a gal who's 45 years old who is where you want to be, they've accomplished a lot of things
If you're into saving the world, using the money for good causes.
Go associate with those people, be around those people and they're easy to find.
but they're not going to knock on your door.
they're not going to come to your apartment or your flat and ask you " Oh, can I help you?"
High performace people like I just alluded to the Warren buffett, Elon Musk,
the one thing that all have in common is they're f** hungry.
hungry for better life, hungry for change, hungry for the tough love their parents didn't give them.
So is that what it needs? You have to be hungry, you need to feel the pain.
Growth only comes through pain. No pain, no gain. It's the same in life.
How many of you would like to have your kids grow up just like your parents?
You know the answer, don't you?
Close to zero. Because they were shitty role models.
I'm not going to ask the second question.
How many of you would like your kids to grow up and be like you?
Allah forbid, God forbid.
But being a high performance person is a full time job.
I'm like this when I wake up in the morning to brush my teeth,
I'm like this when I brush my teeth before I go to sleep.
I'm like this 24/7, 365 and I've been like this for the better part of 50 years.
I'm always like this. I'm always pushing the edge of the envelope.
and that's why, you know, I'm an overnight success I've been doing this,
I've been coaching twenty five and a half years
but all of a sudden I'm popular as hell but I've been doing this for 50 years
I have the same habits today as i had 50 years ago, exact same habits.
Sun is gonna gobble up the earth and about between 7 and 11 billion years.
Although I'm plan on living a long time, I'm not gonna let quite that long,
But I'm a dying breed. I understand that.
I'm sad to say that because I say I know it has, It's a sad commentary for the human race.
But , I know just, Work hard. I don't know any other thing than hard work
and Hard work is out of favor now. it just is.
Because you're not willing to make any sacrifice to be high performance.
I still work 56, I don't consider it work. I still work 50, 60 hours a week.
and I haven't had to work in 35 years, 35 years.
But the world is changed.
so the bottom line you're not willing to do anything,
you're not willing to sacrifice anything to be a high performance person.
I know the humiliation. Forget the pain, you get over the pain.
I wanted the poor kids to understand that they had a methodology. there was a methodology.
I mean that was once poor and got in a lot of trouble,
you can do it if you want to do it bad enough.
The operative part of that little description is if you want it bad enough.
Muhammad Ali, the great fighter, arguably one of the greatest ever.
He was talking sh** since he's 14, 15 years old. 'I'm the greatest.'
Before he ever had a professional fight, You've been trained..keep your head down.
Don't embarrass yourself. Don't embarrass the family. Don't say things that may not happen.
And I do just the opposite. I tell you to set goals beyond your lifetime.
I tell you to set goals as soon as humanly possible.
You want to be liked? When I read about that people commit suicide because they were unlike on facebook
and makes me sick to my stomach.
Don't you see there's something fundamentally wrong with that?
but being liked doesn't get you a raise
When you're working for, where you're working for, Efficiency, accountability.
I'm the only speaker that you were ever gonna hear that really with all his heart doesn't give a sh**,
If I leave here you're liking me I did something wrong.
I f** did something wrong. I'm not here for you to like me. You know, if you all died today I don't give a sh**.
and I mean it. But Steve Jobs didn't give a shit about you either.
Warren Buffett doesn't give a shit about you today.
Elon Musk doesn't give a sh** unless you going to buy Tesla car.
Don't you understand? Don't you get it? You think Elon Musk wants to fit in?
We know the answer, "No" right? You want to fit in because you had poor role models at home.
I did know Steve Jobs. I do know Elon Musk, I do know Warren Buffett.
I do know and they're ball-bustersI do know and they're ball-busters.
Success leaves clues, kids.
I just named five of the greatest names and business in the last 150 years.
They all have one thing in common. They're all ball-busters.
They're hard as f** nails.
Where does that leave you?

Practice success before you are successful.
Through affirmations, through going to the rolls royce dealer
Before I had any money, I used to go to the rolls royce dealers and sit in the cars and
smell the leather, touch the leather.
In these days, this is 40 years ago, I went to million dollar houses,
and my wife and I would walk through the house,
and they'd say, "when are your parents getting here, kids?"
No, we are the buyers.
Practice being successful.
Go to stores you can't afford. so it's all possible.
I devoted myself to feeling successful,
I was wearing suits like this before I could afford them.
Self-esteem is the key to high performance.
If we feel good about ourselves and we hang around with people, the average of the five people that we are,
we are mostly around, is who we turn out to be.
Are you naturally a positive person? I'm 100% positive.
You know the most contagious thing in the world isn't a positive action, It's a negative thought.
and because that can grow geometrically, and kill deals, kill even companies for that matter.
and so, but I'm extremely positive.
I think Andrew Carnegie arguably the richest most successful entrepreneur of all time.
He said that..the best thing that you can have for a child is him to be born into poverty.
and I agree.
I do what you don't want to do, but you know that you've got to do to be where you want to be.
Ted Turner just gave his seventy fifth anniversary party on CNN a few months ago
and he has, he makes a couple of comments and he says No.1,and I'm not suggesting this for everybody,
It's how I lived though.
"The first 10 years of my starting CNN," "I slept on my couch, I didn't have an apartment".
Bill Gates slept in the office. Steve Jobs slept in the office. I can go down a whole list.
Now these are super successful mega wealthy guys.
I slept in my office.
Not everybody is willing to make that sacrifice. but it's not the only thing.
But even if you don't want to sleep in your office,
if you want to be able to take care your mother when she gets dementia.
if you wanted, this is all takes money.
You can do anything you want that you have passion for because that eliminates most of the crap
because most people don't follow their dream, you know like the sound of music and you can't have a dream come true unless you have a dream.
we over analyze because we're unsure, we don't over analyze because we are not sure
if it'll work or not, we're more worried about on the emotional side,
it embarrassing us. Perfection equals paralysis. So you can never make a perfect decision. No, no..
If you left it to engineers, no car would ever come off the assembly line.
They'd still be trying to make it better. The internet kids want to test and test, and test.
Roll it out.
The great thing about the internet is your results are instantaneous.
and you can make changes instantaneously. Correct!!
Because without them making mistakes, and without them being allowed to make the decision.
They never get any better. They will never know everything unless they make mistakes, and get comfortable with making mistakes.
because failure is just testing. What gets measured gets accomplished. without measurement you're just fooling yourself.
Most people procrastinate because they're unsure so just do it, Forget about it, move on.
but I've never had a problem with just doing it. Because one of the things you learn as a young combat infantry officer is..
Time costs lives.
When I learned that mistakes weren't causing arms and legs in life and death, making decisions was easy.
Time costs lives.

It doesnโt matter how far you might rise.
At some point you are bound to stumble because if youโre constantly doing what we do, raising the bar.
If you're constantly pushing yourself higher, higher the law of averages not to mention the Myth of Icarus, predicts that you will at some point fall.
And when you do I want you to know this, remember this: there is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to move us in another direction.
Now when youโre down there in the hole, it looks like failure. So this past year I had to spoon feed those words to myself.
And when youโre down in the hole, when that moment comes, itโs really okay to feel bad for a little while.
Give yourself time to mourn what you think you may have lost but then hereโs the key: learn from every mistake because every experience, encounter,
and particularly your mistakes are there to teach you and force you into being more of who you are. And then figure out what is the next right move.
And the key to life is to develop an internal moral, emotional GPS that can tell you which way to go.
the challenge of life I have found is to build a resume that doesnโt simply tell a story about what you want to be but itโs a story about who you want to be.
Itโs a resume that doesnโt just tell a story about what you want to accomplish but why.
A story thatโs not just a collection of titles and positions but a story thatโs really about your purpose.
Because when you inevitably stumble and find yourself stuck in a hole that is the story that will get you out.
Turn your wounds into wisdom. You will be wounded many times in your life.
You'll make mistakes. Some people will call them failures but I have learned that failure is really God's way of saying,
"Excuse me, you're moving in the wrong direction." It's just an experience, just an experience, just an experience.
There are no mistakes. There really arenโt any, because you have a supreme destiny.
When youโre in your little mind, in your little personality mind or youโre not centered, you really donโt know who you are that you come from something greater and bigger.
We really all are the same.
You donโt know that, you get all flustered, you get stressed all the time, wanting something to be what it isnโt.
Thereโs a supreme moment of destiny calling on your life. Your job is to feel that, to hear that, to know that and sometimes, when youโre not listening, you get taken off track.
You get in the wrong marriage, the wrong relationship, you take the wrong job. Yeah, but itโs all leading to the same path. There are no wrong paths.
when you understand that you donโt allow yourself to be completely thrown by a grade or by a circumstance because your life is bigger than any one experience.
You want to max out your humanity by using your energy to lift yourself up, your family and the people around you.
Theologian Howard Thurman said it best. He said, โDonโt ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.โ
if you were to ask me what is the secret to my success, it is because I understand that there is a power greater than myself,
that rules my life and in life if you can be still long enough in all of your endeavors, the good times, the hard times, to connect yourself to the source,
I call it God, you can call it whatever you want to, the force, nature, Allah, the power. If you can connect yourself to the source and allow the energy that is your personality,
your life force to be connected to the greater force, anything is possible for you. I am proof of that. I think that my life, the fact
that I was born where I was born, and the time that I was and have been able to do what I have done speaks to the possibility.
Not that I am special, but that it could be done.
Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life because you become what you believe.

Our identity is not inside our body.
Our identity is picked up by protein antennas on the surface of our cells.
the reality is our sources from the outside and the signals get picked up by the Proteins and then control the cell on the inside.
the significance for me at that moments besides the shock of " Oh my god" " I'm not in here." was the simply reality that I said, Oh my..
It's like the body is like a television set and there's a broadcast coming in.
and the relevance about that is that sometimes the television breaks
and You say 'The television is dead'.
and I say "yes, but the broadcast is still there".
and the answer is indeed the broadcast is still there that doesn't change because the body comes and goes.
let me just add this one because this is an exiting story to emphasize the nature of that we're still there.
There is a number of studies of people who have heart transplants
and when they receive a transplant from somebody else
they start to pick up characteristics of the person who donated the heart.
Now some people say that's cellular memory,
I'm as a celluar biologist, I think you're giving great credit of memory to a cell.
A cell is lucky to remember if it's liver cell or a skin cell, not if it likes chicken mcnuggets and beer.
but the story I just want to emphasize in close it with simply this a young girl received a heart from another young girl.
and once the heart was implanted,
just shortly after she had very vivid nightmares of being murdered.
and they repeated themselves every night, every night, and so finally
the doctor said "where did this heart come from?"
and it was from another girl who was murdered.
and the relevance about that was the nightmares were so vivid
that when the police questioned her about what she had seen,
they were able to catch the killer.
The point was the heart cells are still having the self antennas of the person who has died.
And so as long as the heart was still present,
It was downloading the identity into that heart.
and the relevance is, yes.. the girl is dead, but she's still there.
Why?.. because if the heart has the receptors,
It still shows that here's a source that's feeding this individual person.
It is profoundly, profoundly important to understand the nature of some quantum physics, energy fields, and identity and that,
energy fields, and identity and that,
we are not in this body, we are being broadcast to this body.
As a scientist and not spiritual for 40 some years
and then in one minute after understanding the nature of remembering,
It's like 2+2 is 4, I'm not in here.
It was, It was ..
Oh my god, I'm not here.
and that concept of being outside, then being immortal was interesting,
but then I wanted to add this part because I thought this was the exciting part about My connection to my spirit and my body,
I asked myself as a scientist, "Why have a body and a spirit?"
"Why not just be spirit?" and cells welled up and said,
Bruce, if you're just a spirit, what does chocolate taste like?
This is a virtual reality suit, You jump into the suit, you drive it around.
The experiences of this suit are sent back to source.
That's when you start to recognize your brain activity is not contained in your head,
You can use magneto encelograph probes outside of your head
and you can read your brain activity. So you're broadcasting back to the field.
and that's why we can see a sunset, we can taste that chocolate, we can smell that rose.
We came here to experience life and to create and then, all of sudden, I said..
'Oh, the whole story might be the biggest cosmic joke in the world'
and that is this..
We have been told that when we die if we did a good job on planet earth,
We can go to heaven.
I would like to suggest something.
You were born into heaven.
This is where you came to create.
If you don't like the creation, the significance is we're not living our lives, we're living the lives of programs,
and it you don't like the program, the new biology is the one that says you can rewrite it.
and if you rewrite it to make your creation not the one you bought as the creation.
You will manifest heaven on earth. You will wake up every day with the glory of being in the most spectacular planet
and the ability to create life and that's what the joy is all about.
We're coming from some subconscious, We're programmed already and our lives have been programmed before age 7,
and then I say yesterday I said, the matrix I said ,
We've all been programmed, I said it's documentary
What would happen if you'd stop playing the program?
and the answer is so wonderful because all of you have taken that Red Pill at some point,
and that was when you feel deeply in love with somebody.
and you say..what was happening when you felt deeply in love?
and I say, for the first time in your life you stopped thinking because everything you wanted is now right in front of your face.
and when you stop thinking and you become what is called 'Mindful' then you are in absolute control
and I say, look, your life could suck every day until You met this person and then heaven.
and 24 hours later you can experience heaven.
What was the difference?
You stopped thinking and started being present.
and so it becomes important if you want to transform,
Then you stay present and you repeat what you like and repetition,is what will reprogram your subconscious.
So as long as you stop the old talk, put in what you want and repreat what you want,
You have an opportunity to rewrite any program in your life.
The moment you understand how you can train the subconscious, is the moment you're free
because you become the programmer of your own life.
