I can’t believe I’m writing this, but the body of work I’ve been creating for the last two years is finally coming out! After many trips back and forth from London to LA, millions of revisions and a lot of moving the track list around, I’ve made an album I’m so so in love with, with people who I felt truly seen by, who I respected and found a natural synergy with. I really put everything into this album, BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS. This collection of songs is a reflection of my growth, an outward pouring of my raw vulnerability, the inner workings of my chaotic brain and the deep desire I have to challenge myself with everything I do. I’m really proud of what we made, and I hope that when you hear it, it means something to you too.
Thank so much to all the special people who contributed to the making of this project, the producers, engineers, musicians, visual creatives, the friends who listened to me while I processed my life in order to write it down haha, I wouldn’t have been able to manifest this dream without you. I really can’t wait to show you all what we made!! For now, here is the incredible artwork by Omid Aghdami and a sneak peak to the songs that are to come. THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH ME, LOVE YOU x

I have something coming that I can't wait to share with you.
I wrote this song while I was in LA, and then brought it to a producer that I originally met when I first started music. Who I was then, a girl at 16 with no idea what she was doing but an insane dream to express herself, to now putting together the best songs of her life, is fucking crazy. I had no idea we'd connect again and that he'd be the person to bring this song to life.
Thank you gGrades it's a full circle moment and l'm so happy we did this together... 3rd slide is the photo Grades took of me when we first met do baby pop you're really doing the thing

Poppy Ajudha epitomises the uniquely diverse musical culture that exists in London. Her South London, St. Lucian-British background, the scene she has grown up in, and the musicians and creatives she regularly works with have all been pivotal in the forward thinking, socio-politically aware unique blend of R&B, Soul and Pop that she creates. Unafraid to stand up for what she believes in, her lyrics speak of the feminism, colonialism, gender politics, current social issues and more.
