🥳 Today marks my 13th ANNIVERSARY of creating on YouTube. It's been a wild ride...

This channel is no longer active, but DON'T WORRY! I never stopped! For helpful collectors' advice, deep dives into entertainment, and nostalgic (physical) media reviews, check out my new channel: MikeJehmsz Home Video! youtube.com/@MikeJehmsz

Thanks for watching all these years 😊

You WON'T BELIEVE what I've done here!

Wanna know why I've been inactive again?!

After re-developing my channel and applying every "NEW YouTube HACK to GET VIEWS!!!," making my usual content is not as fun as it used to be.

My main long-form videos have done far worse this year than I expected. Shorts were fun at first, but the need to make everything "cLiCkAbLE" and "bEaT tHe ALgOriThm" has become a chore. Not just creating the videos, but posting the same links on EVERY platform *because [insert the latest "CONTENT CREATOR SIN" here]*

It really sucks when you put so much time and effort into something, only for little to no payoff.

So many people have told me "Just do what makes you happy!" but that either gets no views OR I end up disliking it over time. Some things that made me happy are *now* things I no longer enjoy. IYKYK...

My overall creative skillsets have to the point where I think they've become too big for my channel's usual format. I've had much more fun creating for/with my IRL friends this year than *anything* I've produced for YouTube. That's saying a lot.

BUT... this is not the end. I would love to keep creating, so long as it's original, something I enjoy, and WON'T eventually hate.

I'll say THIS, though:
If you like physical media, "nostalgic" vintage TV, and my higher production quality, I think you should stick around 😉

Have you ever noticed how those YouTube Gurus™ are so "fakey" and scammy?

If Disney Infinity were still around today, the players would finally get the Scarlet Witch figure they demanded. I personally would've loved to see Ian and Barley, Frozen 2 Elsa, an updated Falcon, Joe Gardner, and an MCU Spider-Man. Imagine an Agatha Harkness figure with an Agnes costume power disc... 😂
