There's absolutely no need to beat yourself up over emotional eating. Feeling guilty only adds to your stress levels. It's completely normal to grab a snack when you're feeling a bit down.

However, it becomes a concern when it turns into a thoughtless habit or your only way of coping with emotions.

It's time to equip yourself for life's unexpected challenges and how it greatly affects how you feel. What I am referring to is emotional eating.

When done with intention, FOOD CAN BE A VALID WAY TO DEAL WITH STRESS. Here are three tips to help you understand what I mean.
βœ”οΈ First, create a plan. Don't limit yourself to raiding the cookie jar; you have countless other options that bring you joy. Consider activities like exercise, reading a good book, chatting with a friend, or even taking a moment for meditation. Keep it diverse.
βœ”οΈ Second, take a pause and reflect. Before diving into that bag of chips, take a moment to step back and ask yourself, "Is food truly what I need right now?" Sometimes, a good laugh from your favorite Netflix show might suffice, rather than indulging in a bag of cheesy snacks.
βœ”οΈ Third, if you ultimately choose food, savor the moment mindfully. Enjoy every delicious bite without stressing out about it.

Stress eating doesn't have to revolve around junk food alone. I've got some fantastic recipes that are not only quick to prepare but also packed with nourishing goodness.

These delightful treats can make your taste buds shimmy with joy and help ease that stress, too!

That's right. Ingredients in these snacks can actually do wonders in helping your body handle that nasty stress!

Feeling overwhelmed? Work deadlines piling up, endless appointments, and your car refusing to start. We've all been there. πŸ€·πŸ»β™€οΈ

And that’s when it’s so tempting to just snuggle up on the couch with a gigantic bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

But emotional eating doesn't have to be a big problematic issue. There's no rule saying food is only supposed to be fuel for our bodies. For most of us, it's much more than that. It's like a warm, comforting hug for your soulβ€”the taste, the textures, the whole experience of indulging in your favorite dishes.

So, if you find yourself reaching for a snack when you're feeling a bit low, don't worry... it can be completely normal. The concern arises when it turns into a mindless habit or becomes your only go-to coping mechanism.

My friends, there's no need to feel GUILTY.

When you find yourself stressed, before you start munching away, just take a step back and think. β€œIs this really what I want right now?”

Maybe reading a good book or having a fun chat with a friend will give you what you really need. If food ends up being your choice, then let it be an intentional act of self-care for both your body and soul. Relish every bite!

Proteins are essential in building and maintaining metabolism-boosting muscle. My personal favorite snack is jerky. But mind you, not all jerky is equal.

I choose brands that don't use chemical preservatives and are just basically grass-fed meat and spices. No fillers. So there's more protein in every bite, unlike others bulked up with grains or starches.

I also prefer brands with low or zero sugar. This means less worry about sudden blood sugar spikes and crashes.

The jerky stick is my go-to snack for those busy days. It's portable, delicious and keeps me satisfied until it's dinner time.

Do you like digging into salads while dining in a restaurant? Great! πŸ˜‰πŸ₯— But, keep an eye on those dressings and sauces that come along.

Commercial dressings often feature a long list of ingredients, and unfortunately, those can often include hidden calories or unwanted additives.

I like to ask for some olive oil and vinegar on the side to control how much I need.

So consider sticking with the oil and vinegar duo for a delicious salad with less worry about what's in it. Enjoy your meal!

When lunch time rolls around, you'll frequently find me opting for a salad. πŸ₯—πŸ₯‘πŸ½

I generally seek out those salads that are gluten-free and dairy-free. If need be, I politely request the removal of any gluten or dairy ingredients. I've discovered that I feel more energetic and my physique looks leaner when these ingredients aren't part of my diet.

Choosing a salad loaded with fiber, protein, fresh veggies, and healthy fats – it fills me up without making me feel overstuffed. It gives me the perfect boost to carry on with the day. A little tweaking of the menu means I can satisfy my taste buds with a delicious lunch without straying from my health goals.

So, what do you say – why not give it a try?

It's Monday morning, and my stomach is ready to grub. I open the fridge and realize I have no healthy options ready to eat. I didn't have time to meal prep this weekend, and I'm out of prepared meals from my meal delivery service.

With my busy schedule ahead this week and no healthy food options in the house, what's a girl to do?
