My brother brought me this bao (bun) to try. It was interesting. Sweet and salty. Filling texture was gritty like cooked egg yolk, but liquidy like it was mixed with water. Pretty interesting to look at and taste was decent.

After another late night session of pickleball, we went to m8trix again. I ordered the elote (Mexican street corn) ($7) and New York cheesecake with mixed berries ($9). The corn, while pricey, I was only expecting 1 full cob. This was a bit over 1 and a half. As you can see, the coating was a bit too liquidy, but it tasted good. Maybe needed more cheese. The char on some was over burnt. I feel like they torched it instead of grilling it. Lol The Lime wasn't necessary and overpowered everything on it, so I used the lime in my water instead. The cheesecake was offensively small for the price. I was expecting at least twice the size... and they gave me 3 spoons for it, as if it was large enough to share... lol... One of each berry per person and a taste for each? Lol... I ate the whole thing. My friend's couldn't finish their food, so I finished it all. Lol It was quite a bit. They had a few big spoons of chicken fried rice, a few big spoons of bbq pork fried rice, and a lemon pepper wing left. Lol

I didn't feel like food after pickleball the other night, so I opted for a strawberry shake from Dough Burger, then joined my friends at m8trix and got another shake. Lol Dough Burger's is better. It has nice strawberry chunks in it and it tastes less artificial. The one from m8trix tastes like the kind you get in 5 quart tubs.

Cooked some simple pork dish marinated with salt, pepper, sugar, fish sauce, and dark soy sauce, and had it with rice and pickled daikon. Yummy

Since all of the fig tree cuttings were dying indoors, I decided to put 2 of the remaining 3 outside. It's currently late late Fall, which isn't really ideal, but I figured they likely wouldn't make it until spring if I left them the way they were. Luckily in the bay area it doesn't get too cold, so I think there might be a chance. Lol

My customer tipped me fresh caught frozen and smoked salmon. The smoked salmon was very delicious!
