Path of Exile 2... this looks like it is going to happen.
I love ARPGs, and while PoE is a game that I have avoided like the plague, it looks like PoE2 is something that a few people are seriously encouraging me to try.
I think it's likely to be something I may sour on pretty fast, but I really am not sure.
I am currently trying to decide if I want to get Early Access to be able to play over the holidays, or wait until it's in full release. Or if I do jump in, whether I allocate some of my Birthday present money to improving my experience with the game on the hope that I fall in love with the game.
My ARPG streams are mixed popularity, probably being I am either not competitive enough, or not relaxed enough. I will be trying to go into this game with a "Can I discover this on my own", which seems crazy for a game that is famously over complicated.
This is stressing me out a little, but in a way I have not felt in years. I can't tell if it's excitement or fear.

So many games I want to play.
So little time.
So I will be returned to Diablo IV for Season 5, I am looking forward to it, but I will probably play shorter sessions and more of them.
I will try to fit some No Man's Sky in between it all, as I don't want to lose too much momentum with that game; I love it so much.
I also hope to do some relaxing with more Castles of Burgundy when I don't have time or the opportunity to stream.
There are other story games on the horizon, but life is hectic right now, so I am just trying to make it all fit.
I had been planning to try to record something about why I think Last Epoch is a great leveling ARPG, but not a very good end game ARPG, but I would prefer to enjoy games than spend time stating why I don't like games.
There is enough negativity in the world, and it's not as if the developers care that they are restricting their audience to a very small subset of gamers, they know what they are doing.
Last Epoch want to be a medium size game in a small pond, rather than a smaller game in a larger pond, and that is their choice. For the people who are in that pond, I hope they continue to enjoy the game.
Diablo IV feels more welcoming, more respectful and more self aware. That is important.
If you want to discuss why, feel free to drop by one of my Diablo IV streams and discuss it.
However, I do think people should play Last Epoch, it's a great game for leveling and you will get many dozens of hours of great fun for the cheap purchase price. It's great value, it's just the end game is specifically designed for an extremely small subset of players, and it's not communicated well.
But enough about that.
Good luck everyone with your chosen gaming.

Next ARPG Plans.
While Season 31 of Diablo 3 was really popular on the channel, there are a few reasons I am going to skip Season 32.
Firstly, and most importantly, the Conquests this season do not look fun. Only two of them look like they are achievable for the way I enjoy playing the game; with one of them being a random effect.
While I am interested in the Ethereal Memory mechanic, as I have not tried it before, I think that I am much more interested in skipping this season if I am facing conquests that are all around multiple characters and SET dungeons, which I do not find fun.
Also Cycle 02 of Last Epoch is starting a few days before, and I really want to try out the improvements that have happened in Last Epoch and see how the game has developed.
And there are several other things happening that are going to severely limit my play time, so with everything happening; something had to go. And for this season, it means no Diablo 3. It also looks like I will be skipping the next season of Diablo IV as well.
But there will hopefully be other exciting things coming in the Solo TTRPG front soon.

Last Epoch 1.0 Release - What are my plans?
With the release of Last Epoch 1.0 next week, I am trying to decide what I am going to do.
I suspect I am going to play a Sentinel, and maybe move into either a Paladin or a Void Knight, but I might decide last minute to change my plans.
I am interested in trying Void Knight because it's something a little different, but Paladin style is a class that I always find I enjoy in RPGs, so both are tempting.
I also have a few smaller games I want to try out, and I am wanting to play Cyberpunk 2077 again, and am wanting to move onto Just Cause 3 and of course, try to find the mental energy to play more Baldur's Gate 3.
So many games, so little time.

What comes after Cyberpunk?
After spending a few months in 2077, it's time to go back to 1912, and a game that I played a decade ago when it was released and remember loving.
I plan to return to Bioshock Infinite.
I expect it will take me about 20 hours to play through this game, so maybe 10 sessions; though I really don't remember how long it took me to play last time.
I am definitely planning on completing my second playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 before doing this, so it will be couple of weeks away at least, but please let me know what you think about this choice and if you have any ideas about what I should be doing to present this well.
After this, something much larger in scale and scope is on the cards...

Diablo 3: Season 29 - BremSter's Plans
This weekend Diablo 3 (yes the 12 year old game) launches Season 29. This will be the last season to feature "new content", and from now on D3 seasons will apparently feature only game modes and seasonal content we have seen before.
However, Diablo 3 has been a game I have enjoyed a lot over the years, and with Diablo 4 being such a disappointment so far, I am planning on going back into Diablo 3 for a while and doing something a little different.
I plan on starting the season with a new character, and playing the game through the story without doing the seasonal start tricks to power start a character.
Normally at the start of a season people will start by doing a challenge rift, and getting millions of gold and a lot of resources to power start their game in adventure mode, to get through to the "end game" as fast as possible and get onto the ladders. I will not be doing this, I will be playing the game on story mode, and trying to experience all the quests and all the scenes and relive the first play through of this wonderful game.
I will also be playing a newly empowered build when I get to the end game, an Angry Chicken Witch Doctor; which has been made much more viable with changes this season, and looks silly and fun. It's still quite under powered compared to many of the meta builds, but it looks fun and that is what matters to me.
Then at the end of September, when Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is released I will be able to pivot to that.
I hope you decide to join me sometimes for this very strange play through of an older but still very fun game.
Good luck in Sanctuary.

BremSter playing various types of games. This will include Live Streaming various types of game styles. Exploration, story, ARPGs, Open World games, other types of RPGs, whatever takes my fancy.
If you are after a specific style of game, or a specific style of play; this is not what I will be doing. This will be an exploration of "gaming".
This will include pencil and paper Solo Role Playing Games, with the plan to cover and review some systems, talk about some RPG systems and concepts and work on improving solo storytelling using different RPG styles and games.
