Come with me to the manger. Come stare at this little baby Jesus—so simple, so obscure, so… ordinary.
Take in the scene. Such an out-of-the-way tiny village. Dirty. Common. This birth, so modest and unspectacular.
If it weren’t for heaven’s angels, bursting with excitement and splitting the sky with their announcement, it might escape our notice.
But… the angelic choir fades away and the scene gets quiet again. For 30 years.
That humble baby grows up—still obscure, unspectacular, unrecognized.
Then, slowly, some start to realize that He deserves their notice. Some dismiss Him as a fake. Others forsake their entire livelihood in an instant, just to follow Him.
Some busy themselves in His presence, being anxious and troubled about many things. Others, like Mary of Bethany, drop everything just to sit at His feet.
Two thousand years later, none of that has changed. Still some dismiss Him, forget Him, or busy themselves around Him... anxious and troubled about many things.
But some notice Him.
Some choose to stop worrying and simply sit at His feet.
This Christmas, let’s be those people. Let’s realize just how Spectacular and Magnificent and Worth Noticing this Man is.
“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her” (Lk 10:42).

I want to take a moment to thank all my sweet friends who sent a hug, said a prayer and just lent your shoulder as you left a comment on my last video about my hubby and I losing our sweet fur baby Marley. It was a devastating loss. We can’t have kids because cancer took that away from me, so she was essentially our kid. The tears still flow, but I know it will get better soon. Much hugs to you all! ❤️❤️❤️
