I met Mijungla in 2019 shortly after she was rescued and recovered. I remember her as a very playful cute jaguar. When I returned to La Senda Verde, Bolivian Animal (sendaverde.org) in 2021, I met her again this year. She is big, but apart from that, she didn't change a lot. She still loves to play. Watch her in May 2019 and June 2021.
Mijungla was found in poor health lying in the forest, with a head wound full of skin parasites, and some parts of her body were without skin. She was brought to La Senda Verde Animal Refuge in December 2018. She was about three months old and weighed 3.2 kilograms. At that time, she could not walk very well, and her stomach was swollen. Even after all the trauma, she has recovered noticeably well, regained her strength and she is growing rapidly.

Hi,
I am Gosia, the surrogate mom of wild animals. For years I have been working as a volunteer at wild animal rehabilitation centres and orphanages. I look after sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. I took care of around 100 species of mammals. We work with every animal individually, depending on the animal’s history. Animals that would not survive in the wild on their own stay at rehabilitation centres forever; others are released after rehabilitation.
