Hi All, my viewer , Michael Phillips , shared some of his orchid pictures with us. He’s kindly agreed to let me share them with you all. I’ve had the privilege to actually meet Michael in person. He’s an absolutely lovely person and an eager to learn newbie grower.

He’s mounted a dend speciosuum to some cork he purchased from me. His potted dend soeciosium are already getting roots in their pot. He was gifted individual canes from a mature plant. I think roots in the pot is a good thing and sign Michael is a good newbie grower. Good on ya. ☺️

I have no electricity. Evidently neither does most of Perth’s northern suburbs. why…..it’s to humid. A fun fact, according to Perth Now to much humidity coupled with light drizzling rain can cause the tops of the electric poles to catch fire 🔥
This is less than ideal for the channel as I was planning on using the public holiday to film I spent Saturday and Sunday deep cleaning the house
There may not be a video put out this week it’ll depend on when the electricity is restored

A big shout out to @lynnbrooks2430 for picking me up from work and taking me to the car rental place today. My car took a crap and wouldn't start for me on Valentine's day. ( thanks a lot car) and I've been without wheels since. So, the car should be done in a week and please let the car be done in a week as I only rented one for a week. Cross your fingers for me.

Howdy All. I'm Julie, from Perth, Western Australia. I am American/Australian, having migrated from Illinois, in 2013.
I'm a new grower and absolute expert at nothing in the orchid hobby.
I currently grow all my plants indoors. I use inorganic pumice as a media and semi hydro set up
I have mostly intermediate plants with a few in my collection either being HOT or COOL. I am trying to obtain at least 1 species of the differing kinds of orchids I have. I have a fondness for phragmipediums.
I am want to share my experiences in growing orchids in my home in Western Australia. The struggles and joys. I may include the occasional trip "out bush" to show some native Western Australian Orchids in situ and given permission, show some of the local orchids from the local societies shows.
