J&K Government approves Age relaxation upto 35 for the OM for JKAS exam this year. Some People are demanding age relaxation of 40 for OM. I would suggest them to please demand 50 instead. Atleast they can have a backing of another person from their family preparing for the same exam. father’s last attempt will be son’s first attempt and they can get a chance to sit in the same exam center. What is wrong with the thought process of some of the aspirants? Why so much intellectual paralysis? Why so much dependence on one exam? Why you take an exam to your ego? What if you didn’t qualify even after 40? One of the reasons aspirants don’t get a good job after exhausting attempts is lack of confidence and a visible break in CV that gives a bad impression to the hiring organisation. Then people complain and say preparation was waste. You need to introspect as to who made it waste! you or anyone else?
I always say first 2-3 attempts are sufficient in majority (probably more than 90%) of cases to test your aptitude for the civil services, and if in these attempts you are reaching an interview stage then you can try some more otherwise you should stop and understand that you may be good at other things/professions that can be much better than the civil services even. Either way who sincerely prepares for the exam for 2-3 years surely gains that amount of wisdom which can lead him to excel and earn for himself. Rather i suggest an upper age of 28 years that should be effective from 2030 onwards. Aspirants can effectively exercise plan B as there is still sufficient energy left at this age. By doing so we can save our upcoming generations from the depressive phases of unemployment.

After attending farewell session of Hon’ble D.Y. Chandrachud (CJI), corridors were full of opinions concerning tenure of CJI. The response was mixed. I got a chance to have some discussion with Advocate Abhilash(Advocate @supremecourt Who has been my teacher in the past). During those days i used to ask many questions and get answers from him. Today my teacher was visibly happy when i answered some opinion based legal issues. Argument of unruly roaster attitude and pick and choose allocation of cases to benches during his (CJI) tenure was put to full stop after we discussed some instances like same sex marriage case where he (CJI) himself was in minority opinion. I hope you understood the point✅. How time runs! Good luck Abhilash sir as well as outgoing CJI.

CJI DY Chandrachud is under severe criticism just before his retirement. He might have been pacifying the people of his village but he surely has made a big mistake through his statement that has brought his judicial propriety in question. He has been preaching to uphold judicial values and cannons in public but this time he himself has compromised these values. Till now I thought court judgments must be guided by the constitution and the other laws and now it seems that some of these may have been guided by personal proximities. Today Sr. Advocate @Dushyant Dave in a funny style told us that If god is dictating him the judgment, then reveiw these judgments on the ground of having an extra-territorial operation.
Come what may, justice shouldn’t be only done, it should seem to have been done.

Good news for junior Advocates! but not that good in effect without a binding effect as below are merely recommendations. The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued new guidelines recommending a minimum stipend for junior advocates assisting senior advocates, law firms and independent practitioners.
While the payment of stipend is encouraged, it is not enforced as mandatory, given the constraints faced by some senior practitioners.
