I am a classroom teacher, Apple Distinguished Educator, mother of two, and stepmom of three boys. I was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Canada, and I have been teaching for over 15 years. I hold a Masters's in English as a Second Language, and my first degree was in also the English Language.
I am passionate about literacy, language development, and second language acquisition. I speak Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese, and I share my love of language learning with my children who also have a thirst for learning different languages and cultures. As this blog suggests, technology plays a huge role in supporting literacy in the classroom and at home.
