In this video, we talk about Cipher Hunt and how one Gravity Falls fan managed to save a huge part of its history before it was lost and made it her mission to let other fans enjoy it too. A huge thank you to @ChloeLeis for being part of this and for letting me own a piece of Cipher Hunt history, as well as gift it to some close friends of mine. I never imagined I'd ever get to not only meet a Cipher Hunter who was there, but also own a piece of the very treasure too! The kindness this fandom holds is unmatched!

The answer is a lot different than you might suspect and led to me learning about merch few fans out there even know about.

It's been 7 years since Gravity Falls Lost Legends and the Complete Series box set were released...yes...SEVEN YEARS!! I have a lot of nostalgia for these, as the box set and Lost Legends were the first pieces of new major GF content to come out after I joined the fandom. I was about to leave the fandom in fact in the Summer of 2017, until Alex announced LL at D23 and I stuck around to experience it and later the box set. I stayed up till midnight on July 24th to watch the countdown on the GF wiki hit 0 when I should've been studying for a Summer School exam and spent all of August watching the box set exclusives.
It was a time in the fandom not many talk about anymore but was probably as or even more important than last year with The Book of Bill. I mean, Gravity Falls got a physical release on DVD and Blu-ray! That's insane even today and something many never thought would happen! I'm glad I was there for it all. It was a Summer to remember.
And yes, given I know people will ask, I have 4 Lost Legends cause my preorder got delayed and I ended up buying another in store early to avoid spoilers. It's been one year already since The Book of Bill released! Hard to believe it's already been that long, given the hype around it still feels so recent. It was the first new Gravity Falls book we had gotten in 6 years since Lost Legends came out. The hype the fandom had from that release was something we probably may never again see but then...that's what I said in 2018 when LL came out and look where we are now. What a day and Summer that was.
Also, don't worry, new videos are on the way. Been busy lately given I've finally landed full time work which I'd been looking for since graduating university. Been a busy few weeks and onwards but I'm still always excited about making new videos for the channel. Next video is gonna be a pretty fun one diving into some really cool lore and info about the show and merchandise especially. You'll not wanna miss it! Stay tuned for that and keep those notifications on if you haven't. Been working on this video for nearly a year now!

So yeah...I actually went to Dashcon 2 which was held in Toronto yesterday. This actually was the very first convention I ever went to and quite hilarious therefore it was the sequel to one of the most infamous conventions of all. It had it all; vendors, a ballpit (no piss this time), a Tumblr sexyman shrine, etc.
The vendor area was insane. There were so many talented artists and creators selling their incredible merch. I had a lot of fun just exploring around and looking at all the amazing art and merch for sale. And I did get some stuff. Alongside the Dashcon 2 pin, I got these lovely Gravity Falls stickers and mini poster from bigger toaster art and mxgicarp. Bigger Toaster even recognized me, which was pretty funny. Really fun to meet you guys, and thank you for the amazing art. I really love it.
All in all, Dashcon 2 was amazing. I had a ton of fun and it was great to see so many other amazing people just having fun and celebrating their passions. Saw a few Gravity Falls cosplayers too which was really cool. I don't get to explore such places much, but I'm glad I was able to visit this. I can now say I survived Dashcon!

Also yes, Alex Hirsch drew that. It was my drawing from him after the interview. I had an art idea from years ago that I wanted Dipper and Mabel to be near the CN Tower here in Toronto and who better than to have the creator of the show itself make it.

My part of "An Interview with Alex Hirsch" just surpassed 100K views! I'm still really thankful to all of you for watching it and continuing to share it. Crazy it's been over a year since it came out and nearly 2 years since the interview itself. Even now I still can't believe it happened. I used to always imagine what it would be like to have even a moment to ask Alex Hirsch anything about Gravity Falls and to have gotten the chance to do that was beyond belief. I'm also grateful to have done it with someone as amazing as @hanahyperfixates. And speaking of Hana, their part of the interview is nearing 75K views. If you have not yet seen their part of it for some reason, WATCH IT (and sub to Hana)!! Couldn't have done it without them (literally...I didn't even know Zoom had a 40 minute call limit on free accounts so had they not been part of it, the interview would've ended after 40 minutes, lmao).

Hello. I'm HK. This is my channel, That Gravity Falls FAN!
I first watched the show in 2017 and while late, I became a huge fan of it and loved everything about it. After exploring the fandom, I made a channel about it. I made make badly edited videos that for some reason people watched. Now I make badly edited commentary videos that people still for some reason watch. It's fun, but that also maybe why I have no social life.
My work is a range of content both related to Gravity Falls and other series and shows I love. I've done things like interviewing creator Alex Hirsch, finding lost media related to the show, collaborations, memes, sharing obscure facts about it and more.
