L-Tido is a South African rapper and songwriter born as Thato Madonsela from the infamous township Alexandra (also known as Gomora). Although L-Tido studied Marketing he has been perfecting his RAP craft since 2007 and officially dropped his firstmix-tape titled City of Gold which he self funded, marketed, and distributed after he quit his 9-5 to persue his musical career. This very mix-tape saw L-Tido being nominated and winning the coveted ChannelO music award for Best New Comer, a first for anyAfrican artist especially since he did not have an album out.
