It's a bit late to be saying this, but...Happy New Year!
I'm planning to wrap up Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games sometime this year.
Until then, I hope you'll stay tuned!
With the exception of filming, I covered all the costs for our portion of the crossover with Retro Game Master. Studio fees, editing fees, translation fees, two copies of each game, and so forth...
With no monetization, and not even a promotional goal, my wallet certainly felt the impact, but let's see how far it takes us!

Initially, the Retro Game Master crossover was only set to be available in Japanese. However, the folks at 8-4, who translate this channel into English, insisted on localizing our side's crossover episodes as well. So, good news for our overseas viewers: you can follow along too!
Today is the one-year anniversary of my channel!
We've made around 140 videos so far.
I think we've been working pretty hard!
My goal is for this channel to benefit those who make games, those who play games, and those who work in games. I hope you'll continue to tune in as we move forward!
The opening and ending jingles for these videos were composed by none other than Yuzo Koshiro.
I imagine you've heard them many times by now!
If you've been watching my videos, you're likely familiar with the opening and ending jingles by now.
I actually hired a famous game music composer to create those for me.
Who could it be?
When I quit my in-house job and went independent, I did so in order to contribute more to the game industry.
It wasn't just because I wanted to be free to make the kinds of games I liked. In fact, I also wondered if there was some way I could help outside of directly making games. But how?
That question eventually led me to start this channel. It's been a long time since I went independent, but my desire to contribute remains the same.
Join Masahiro Sakurai, director of several Kirby games and the Super Smash Bros. series, as he reflects on his work in the games industry and offers insightful and easy-to-understand advice about game development.
The goal? To try and help make games around the world a little more fun!
