The name "One Mile More" is inspired by the Bible passage Matt 5:41. In it Jesus says "If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two". The way I understand it, in that time a Roman soldier could tell a civilian to carry his pack, which contained his gear, (and weighed around 66 lbs) a mile and the civilian was required by law to do so. You may have heard it said to "go the extra mile" with some task. I get this wrong more often than I'd care to admit, but my aspiration with this life is to do the best I can (the extra mile) with what I've been given to bring glory to God. Hopefully through my various projects, travel and likely screwing around, with this YouTube channel I can inspire others to do the same. Plus, with my love of traveling, it just sounds cool.
