An interesting notice board said to be put by ASI at Amrutheshwara temple mentions
1) Maintain peace
2) Don't touch the pillars
3) Taking Photos and Video is prohibited
4) Shooting video and taking photo with bigger camera with stand is prohibited
5) Lovers should not spend much time here 😂
(Doesn't loving the art and architecture make us 'Lovers'? 🤔)

Here is the question. (Even though the above board doesn't really seem to be officially issued by ASI)

How many of you think that outdoor Photo/Video shooting (Not the irritating photoshoots) should be prohibited?

Beautifully carved Yali at Bhoganandeeshwara temple of Nandi village, Chikkaballapura.
What is Yali?
Yali (Vyala in Sankrit meaning Vicious) is a mythological creature commonly found in almost all the south Indian ancient Hindu temples.
The creature was believed to have organs of horse, lion, elephant, and serpent all together in one. Yalis are believed to be the protector of Temples. They protect and guard the temples and the ways leading to the temples.
Another belief is that the image of Yali will ward off evil forces, implying that it will remove all negative forces around us.
According to Vastu Shastra, there are 16 types of Yalis, Some examples are Elephant head -Gaja Yali, Lion head – Simha Yali, Horsehead – Ashva Yali, Human head – Yali, Dog head – Shvana Yali.
