Sorry there’s no video this week. We’re working hard to get Captain Svetlana back in the water and it’s slow going with my broken back. New episode this weekend I promise.

We’ve created a WhatsApp Community for our YouTube channel. Initially to coordinate the work needed to relaunch Captain Svetlana but ongoing to add value and engage with our subscribers. To all that have volunteered to help us following Andy’s accident a huge thank you for your help and support.

Out with the old and in with the new. Our 23year old cooker has finally gone to that bakery in the sky. The new one is the same manufacturer but somehow I don’t think it will survive 23years.

Hey all. Our videos are on hold at the moment. My 18 month old MacBook Pro won’t charge. I’m trying to get it repaired but we will be continuing to film so hopefully normal service will resume soon.

I'm Andy.
It has long been an ambition to escape everyday life and live my dream of sailing the world.
In the summer of 2021 I moved to Greece with my ex partner Svetlana aboard our first boat Delfina - a 42' Ketch with our Cocker Spaniels - Truffle and Strelka, to give it a try and learn to sail. We explored the western side of Greece from Corfu down to Messalonghi.
We loved it! In December 2021 we sold Delfina to buy 'Captain Svetlana' formerly Seafire - a Hunter 460 as our permanent home.
Sadly in the summer of 2024 my dreams crashed when Svetlana and I split up. Homeless and boatless with no money I started my search for a project boat.
When I came across Driskos - a 1988 Beneteau First 305 she had been abandoned for 2 years. Soul boards floating and the engine in pieces.
Join me on my journey to bring this boat back to life and realise my dream.
