Hi, I’m Lao! I grew up in Maine, U.S., but I've lived in many places. Currently, I'm a nomad. I've spent the last 7 years in different places in Latin America. I've been fascinated by Spanish since I was a kid, but I didn't study it seriously until I was 20. I'm very autodidactic, and I mostly learned Spanish by watching videos for native speakers and practicing speaking when I was alone. Now, I use everything I've learned to make videos for Spanish speakers who want to improve their English. My goal is to be the most realistic teacher you've ever had, by focusing on the most common English spoken in the US. As a student and teacher of languages, I prioritize how people really talk every day, as opposed to grammar rules and words/phrases that are only used once in a while. I don't sell a course, and I strongly recommend learning languages with free or cheap resources on the internet, like YouTube, series, movies, websites, podcasts, apps, etc. Happy learning!!
