Many of the films I make are focused on indigenous traditions around hunting, fishing and gathering for food, medicine or products. My ethnographic approach brings viewers into the lives of people sharing things they value most. I've made many films in the IƱupiaq language, working collaboratively with Elders who speak their language fluently and who want to be part of preserving endangered languages. I also help to bridge communication between scientists and remote community members so that every voice is heard and considered in research projects.
