The John Muir, the feature-length film about the John Muir Trail (a.k.a. Nüümü Poyo) that my brother ‪@leukart‬ and I directed and produced has been selected for ‪@breckfilm3476‬ in Colorado! We're so excited. Come to the festival, September 15-18, to watch the film with us!

YouTube has invited me to Channel Memberships, which is a feature that lets you guys support my channel by contributing money. All the videos that you've been watching and will watch in the future will be free. But, these videos cost a lot of money to make (just for the Camino video alone I had to walk across Spain for 40 days and then edit the video for 3 months), so if you've ever wanted to support me, you can now contribute. There's four donation tiers ($2.99, $4.99, $9.99, and $24.99/month), and by joining, you'll get goodies back, including badges next to your comments to show that you're a supporter and a bunch of other perks, including behind-the-scenes photos and videos that only members can see. So, go ahead and hit the join button now! This will help me make some really great videos going forward, and thank you so much for watching!

For those wondering, yes, we actually donated to the World Wildlife Fund for pangolin conservation. They even sent us a plush pangolin and an adoption certificate. More outdoorsy and VR videos coming soon!

Over the past decade-plus, my brother Brian and I hiked across the most beautiful landscapes around the world. Now, at the start of a new decade, we decided to look back and pick the best hikes we've ever done. In our new video, we discuss the adventures in detail and reminisce about our experiences in the outdoors. Watch the video to see which hikes we picked!

I originally started making this one because I thought it would be super easy to build a quick video built on an interview with Brian plus a handful of clips from the archives. But, it turned out to take months of weekends to build -- because culling through 10+ years of old video and photos and then organizing them takes a VERY long time -- who knew?!  And that's not even including the ridiculous number of hours I spent in After Effects building those ridiculous hiking maps. But we're super happy how it turned out, so take a look!

Here's a photo of the friend group who agreed to "Meet Me in the Alps" for the Tour du Mont Blanc hike (and video). Definitely watch it when you have a chance!
