War attacks England in 1464 amid a blood quarrel between the House of York and the House of Lancaster over who is the nation's actual lord. Youthful Edward IV, beneficiary to the House of York, is delegated ruler with assistance from expert controller Lord Warwick, known as "The Kingmaker," who has an arrangement to control the position of authority. Yet, that arrangement comes slamming down when Edward goes gaga for Lancastrian ordinary citizen Elizabeth Woodville. A rough battle for the crown results between Woodville, foe Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville, a pawn in her dad's energy amusement.
