Good evening everyone,
Today we had a fantastic and enjoyable interactive session where we played 'Would You Rather'. What all of us learnt today was respecting other's opinions is a must to lead a good life. Also, our quick decision-making skills were enhanced.
Although the number of participants were a bit less today, it was a good start.
We are looking forward to more engaging responses from all of the members of GIP - Girls India Project. Active participation contributes to the success of our mission. Our initiative as Parliamentarians is to encourage as many people as possible to value girls as much as they value boys, to end any kind of discrimination taking place. And to do so, we are conducting fun sessions with our buddies and engaging them into activities so that, they realise that their opinions matter, a lot.
Regards,
The Parliament

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." These wise words were said by the father of our nation - Mahatma Gandhi. We, the members of Girls India Project at St. Stephen’s School are following these words in their truest sense.
We initiated the Girls India Project in August 2021 and this project has completed 1 year now. Initially, we had 21 members, but the GIP family at St. Stephen’s School has grown to 54 members. This shows the way the girls of our school have come forward to share knowledge and mutually uplifted the society.
We have been regularly conducting online sessions with our buddies, from Government High Smart School, Sector 50. Both the schools have jointly organized numerous competitions and virtual events. These activities and competitions have helped all of us to transform our shortcomings into our strengths, it has boosted our confidence and improved our outlook.
It is worth mentioning that we the girls of St.Stephen's School are living up to our school’s motto "Semper sursum," and we will continue to get better and make our school proud. The aim of our project is to encourage every girl child that they can do and achieve anything in this world. We support and encourage each other to learn and then do something good for our Nation, family and society. At times our discussions are aimed at increasing awareness mutually and these include fundamental aspects like equality, duties and child rights etc.
From the moment we were introduced to this Project, we learnt important life lessons. Daily interactions act as a great source of happiness and joy.
The office bearers of the project on both sides conduct meetings and work together in order to decide and prepare the engaging topics to enhance knowledge and fun based activities. The office bearers work hard everyday taking out time from their busy schedule.
