After the initial drone fail, there were travel days, and then it rained. Finally, this morning I was able to go to the local park and play with the drone. Figured out how to launch and land the thing. Played with the active tracking and pre-set flying routines. WOW! I am impressed. Really looking forward to seeing what it can do in the field. Plan is for a ride in the next day or two. Stay tuned.

And... the inaugural drone flight was a major fail. Of course I wanted "epic" footage for the first flight, so I foolishly rode up to some backcountry trails. No cell service. The beacon kept taking so long to sync to GPS, the drone would time out and power off, which would reset the sync process. The beacon helpfully told me to pair with the phone app to speed up syncing - but I couldn't figure out how to pair them. No cell service so no way to look it up on the internet. Sigh...

And the big news... the new drone just arrived! Skydio 2+. Fingers crossed it makes the ride videos more dynamic. First flight today. We'll see if I can figure it out well enough to put together a short video. Stay tuned!

Breaking news... just pulled the trigger on something that will hopefully make the ride videos much more interesting. Stay tuned to find out what it is.

I'm curious - does someone need to be an "expert" for you to be interested in a review of something? For example, I was recently asked by a viewer to do a review of the Africa Twin's DCT. I've been hesitant to do much in the way of reviews because I can't offer much in the way of technical information. I don't have a racing, teaching, or mechanical background, so I can only babble about stuff like that from a very high level. There's so many great motorcycle related YouTubers out there doing serious reviews of stuff, I'm not sure I can add much value to that space. Curious what y'all think.
