I got a few questions about the front suspension modification for the MP4/6 so here’s some photos showing what I did. It’s a method I found on modellboard.net.
2mm was cut from the front suspension arms, I glued the pieces together with BSI maxi-cure which was pretty strong. If you’re worried about it snapping you can drill a hole and put in a support rod/wire. Then some putty and sanding to get it flush and paint black.
The circular mounting point of the lower wishbone can be bent slightly so that it is angled higher to account for the shorter arm. Be careful when you bend it so that it doesn’t snap. It’s easier to use some almost boiling water, dip it in for a second or 2, then gently bend it and test the fit to see if it’s high enough for the arm.
Hope that helps!

Finishing up the mp4/6 this week finally! it’s great to see progress after so much delay. But video should be up in a week or 2.

The undertray took me about a week to finish with all the carbon decals but the project is almost 80% complete.

Thinking of starting the Tamiya Ducati 916 as a basic out of box build, would you guys like to see it in Italian Red or all carbon fiber?

Progress on this build has been slow, I get a few hours per week to work on it and film but it’s finally starting to look like a real car. Currently working on carbon fiber decals, interior and little detail bits. ✌🏻

I thought I’d post an update, still working on the Tyrrell 023, doing research and looking for reference photos took longer than I thought it would. I’ve added some engine detail and carbon decals, still have to do body decals, clear coat, polish, and video editing.
And WOW 14k!! Thanks so much to everyone that subscribed, I’ll try to keep improving my builds and videos for you guys! Thanks to all the comments and suggestions, it’s all very helpful! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi I'm Chris, and Ziggy is the dog who often joins me in my scale modeling adventures. My videos feature mainly automotive plastic model builds in 1/24 to 1/12 scale. I started scale modeling in 2019 and I'm always looking for ways to improve and will share everything I learn.
