The city of Valencia has NOT been seriously affected by the torrential rains of recent days. The tragedy, with countless human losses, has hit parts of the city's metropolitan area and neighboring towns.
However, the damage to transport networks is monumental, including trains, both conventional and high-speed trains. It is estimated that the high-speed train between Madrid and Valencia will take several weeks to run again, and there is no forecast of when the trains between Barcelona and Valencia will return. Several roads have also been badly damaged.
If you have a trip planned to Valencia in the next few days, contact your transport company now and reconsider canceling the Valencia leg of your trip.
Once again, the city of Valencia is fine, the surrounding area and transport connections are not.
✅ update 1 NOV. Trains between Valencia and Barcelona should return tomorrow, with limited schedules. Still no dates for the return of the high-speed train between Madrid and Valencia.

Attention those planning to leave Madrid airport by train. From now until October 5, 2024, the journey between the airport and Chamartín station will be made by a provisional shuttle bus, due to works at Chamartín station. Remember that we've given you all the details about transportation from the airport here -->> https://youtu.be/eq1mDR4XH90 With this need to transfer from bus to train, the train may not be the best option for leaving the airport until it's up and running again.

As we anticipated in the video below, the introduction of ETIAS has been postponed once again, this time to 2025. As here on the channel we don't like to speculate or engage on click baiting, we will only deal with ETIAS once it is officially confirmed. In the meantime, one concern out of the way, for the time being anyway.

If you are planning to visit Madrid between February and May, you should be aware that the airport metro (subway/underground) line is going to undergo maintenance work. During the period, the airport train becomes a valid alternative to the metro. If you read Spanish, you can see all the details here: www.metromadrid.es/es/nota-de-prensa/2022-01-30/la…
