Return to Square One: Restoring Srila Prabhupada's Mission
It's time to recognize the deviations from Srila Prabhupada’s original teachings, even those embedded for decades. Since November 1977, no one has legitimately assumed the role of guru, and this truth must be acknowledged. Prabhupada clearly intended for his movement to continue with regular gurus—not self-proclaimed acaryas or unqualified spiritual leaders.
In a May 1977 conversation, Prabhupada directly said, "When I order, 'You become guru,' he becomes regular guru. That's all. He becomes disciple of my disciple." This means no one can claim to be a guru without Prabhupada’s direct authorization, and a regular guru must be a madhyam-adhikari—someone spiritually solid, free from material desire, personal ambition, or any compromise.
Today, many factions, including "ISKCON" as it currently operates, have drifted from Prabhupada’s vision. They have become splinter groups, deviating from the purity of his instructions. To revive Prabhupada’s true mission, we must reject these deviations, correct course, and ensure that only those who strictly follow his teachings are given the responsibility to guide others.
Let's return to the original path, free of compromise, and restore the true potency of Lord Caitanya’s movement.
