“I can’t get lean because I have a slow metabolism…”

So there’s a lot of people who struggle with this, and I was one of them not too long ago.

And I wasn’t able to change it until I started thinking about it differently…

…See, usually when people say “slow metabolism,” it’s like they’re saying they have no control over their weight loss whatsoever because their metabolism doesn’t work…

But in reality, people like us with slow metabolism can still lose weight the same way that everyone else does it:

By being in a calorie deficit.

Of course, the problem is that we usually want to eat a lot more than other people, so it doesn’t always work out…

But now you at least see how your metabolism doesn’t have to stop you from achieving an anime-level physique…

Because it didn’t stop me :D

And it didn’t stop lots of other guys in my community either.

Now if you’re looking to start getting leaner, then I recommend you put 90% of your effort into your diet…

Because that’s what’s really gonna make or break your ability to be in a calorie deficit.

See, some foods make you feel full, while others leave you craving more…

So your goal should be to eat more foods that make you feel full, and less foods that are unsatisfying.

For example, you know how you can eat a whole bag of chips, and still keep eating more afterwards, even though you ate like 1000 calories?

Well, don’t eat those types of foods too much…

Instead, start to add more foods like eggs, steak, avocado and stuff like that to your daily diet, and see how that works for you.

Hope that helps :D

I didn’t get my dream physique until I did less…

And these days, I still see lots of people making the same mistake that I made back then…

A mistake that keeps people stuck in the same place for months and even years, even though they’re trying to go as fast as possible.

And that mistake is:

Starting a full-blown anime training montage every time you get motivated…

…And trying to go from not training at all to “I’m gonna run 10 miles every day and do 100,000 sit ups”

Of course that’s a bit exaggerated but you get the idea.

What most people do is try to do too much, and then, when they inevitably can’t stick to it, they think to themselves:

“Well, I guess I can’t do this after all.”

But it’s not that you can’t do it…

It’s just that you’re trying to move too fast.

Because the people who train like anime characters and have anime-level physiques?

They didn’t start training that way from day 1…

They built it up step by step.

They did a little bit every week, and built on top of it.

And you know what’s great about doing a little bit every week?

You can actually STICK to it, which builds confidence that you can actually keep going…

And which motivates you to finally see it through!

So don’t do what you think you “need” to do to get an anime-level physique…

Just do whatever you can!

And as you get stronger, you’ll be able to do more :D

Here’s why it’s EASY for some people to work out (and hard for others)...

I used to feel like getting off the couch and getting myself to work out was like pushing a massive boulder…

Not only because I was pretty fat lol, but also because I just didn’t have much energy and willpower to do things.

And when I look back now, I realize that this lack of energy is a huge reason why I struggled to get started…

In my mind, I was imagining starting this huge and intense anime training arc, where I’d do 1000 crunches a day and come out the other side with aesthetic abs…

But the problem was, I was always too tired to commit to something like that.

Looking back, I realize how backwards that mindset was…

You know, it’s kind of like an anime character sitting around and “waiting” for their power level to magically increase by itself, so that they can go fight the big boss…

But it doesn’t happen like that…

You increase your power level by going out there and getting started — even if you’re starting at “level 1” with just a couple push ups per day…

Because as you build up consistency, you gradually get more and more energy…

And you gradually get more and more willpower to do the things you need to do to achieve your goals…

Until one day, you’re doing a full-blown anime training arc where you work out multiple times per week — while feeling like it’s EASY!

And at that point, you’ll have the drive of an anime protagonist to achieve your goals…

…And seeing aesthetic abs, muscular arms and an anime-level back in the mirror is just a bonus!

The real reward is that you now have the “power level” to tackle any challenge and achieve anything you want in life :D

And all of that doesn’t start with a big and scary training arc…

Your anime training arc begins when you finally decide to make your LIFE the training arc…

Because the people who have an anime-level physique?

They don’t just have short bursts of motivation and train really hard for a short while…

They get up every day and train consistently — regardless of how they feel.

So instead of thinking about how you’re gonna start your training arc “one day”...

Take your first step on your journey and start doing a few push ups a day…

A short walk a day…

And get a little bit more protein every day…

And by doing this, you’ll build up your routine step by step, which is how everyone achieves their anime level physique…

Because you see, it’s not one short and intense training montage with massive motivation and 1000 crunches like you see in anime…

It’s a step-by-step journey…

And to stay consistent on that journey, you need to do something you can actually STICK to.

For me, that was training at home 2-3x times a week…

And I just built up from there!

And remember, any amount of progress is still progress.

You doing 5 push ups a day instead of 0 is still 5 steps closer to who you want to be.

And as you keep taking those steps, you’ll soon find yourself having made more progress in a few months than you did in multiple YEARS trying to take on too much at once.

So don’t wait to start your training arc…

Because you’re already living it!

No matter how good your excuses are, you’re better than them 😎 But the only way you’re gonna know that you’re better than them…

…is by taking action to find out what you’re capable of.

Think about it like this:

Your favorite anime characters didn’t reach their final form overnight…

They went out there and fought, lost, got disappointed many times, then picked themselves back up…

And eventually they came back strong enough to beat anyone.

And in the same way, you might think you can’t achieve your anime level physique right now…

Because the challenges standing in front of you are just too great…

But you know what?

There’s a version of you that CAN do it…

And while you’re not gonna become that guy overnight…

You will become that guy if you keep moving forward every day.

Because that’s how everyone does it!

I’d know because a few years back, I was a lazy, undisciplined nerd that ate way too much chips…

And now?

I’m a jacked nerd that only eats a little bit of chips, sometimes 😎

“I can’t build muscle because I have a fast metabolism…”

I’ve been seeing this comment a lot on my posts lately and I got to say:

I used to feel jealous of people who had a fast metabolism!

I always wanted to be effortlessly lean like some of my friends…

But instead, I struggled to cut even when I worked out.

Today?

I realize that I was lucky in a way…

Because even though I had a hard time getting my body fat down…

It wasn’t as hard for me to build muscle as some guys.

See, we all have our own “superpowers”, kind of like anime characters…

And we also all have our own weaknesses and challenges to overcome…

And one of the biggest differences between the people who “make it” and those who don’t…

…Is that the people who get their anime-level physique take full advantage of their strengths, and don’t get demotivated by challenges.

After all, if it was super easy, then everyone would have anime villain arms, 3D shoulders and aesthetic abs…

And then, people wouldn’t care anymore.

It’s the fact that you need to overcome challenges to get there that makes it special!

And that’s what makes people turn their heads when they see someone with a Toji-level physique 👀

So the next time you’re trying to achieve the physique you want but you’re facing challenges…

Ask yourself:

Am I gonna give in like most guys… or am I gonna be the MAIN character of my story?

That’s a choice you make every day…

Remember that!

Ever try to get shredded but HATE counting every calorie?

I’ve been there…

Pulling out my phone to check the calorie counter every single time I wanted to eat something…

And while it’s a good way to get started, honestly, it becomes a bit exhausting after a while.

And if you feel the same way…

Then what I want you to try is to only track your calories ONE time per day.

See, at the end of the day you’re likely to remember most of the things you ate…

So before you go to sleep, just open up ChatGPT and check what all of that food adds up to.

After a few days, this is gonna allow you to get a “feel” of how much is too much, or how much is too little…

So that eventually you can get shredded without pulling out your phone every single time you eat a grape.

Try it out and let me know how it works!

How to make progress with 1 workout a week (as a beginner)...

Look, for an experienced guy who’s started getting his chest filling up his shirt, his arms filling up his sleeves, and that Sung Jin Woo-level aura starting to come out…

This probably isn’t gonna work well…

But for beginners? It’s actually REALLY effective…

And it’ll give you that much needed boost of motivation that you need to jumpstart your journey and keep going…

But how can you make progress in just ONE day a week?

Simple:

✅ Beginners aren’t conditioned for training to begin with, so their bodies naturally need more recovery time anyway…

✅ If you combine workouts, by doing lower and upper body at the same time, you can get the benefit of 3 workouts in 1…

✅ If you actually train effectively (increasing the difficulty of your exercises, training to failure, eating well)... then you’ll still make a lot of progress…

And not only is this an effective way to make progress in the beginning…

It’s also MUCH easier to start with than trying to get a gym membership while telling yourself, “I’m gonna go 6 days a week”...

Because everyone knows we’re creatures of habit, and habits are usually not built that fast…

But if you start doing just ONE hyper-effective workout from home per week on the other hand?

You’ll easily be able to stay consistent until you get those first beginner gains.

Of course, you won’t look like a bodybuilder with this routine, but you WILL get results…

And if you do it right, then your friends probably won’t believe that you’re only training 1 day a week from home…

In fact, they’ll probably be thinking you have a hyperbolic time chamber :D
