I have a new video coming tomorrow, where I make this guitar! It’s a long one; around 35 minutes, but it was a big project and the video will be divided into chapters so you can come back and easily watch parts when you want to. I was hoping to have this video up about a week ago, but life and the size of the project got in the way. Working on the audio now though, so it’ll be ready soon!

In celebration of my recent studio tour video: aka, doing all the stuff in a Too Small room, here I am today taking the whee off the press to get to the stuff stored underneath. Happy Monday!

Australian painter Brett Whiteley has been one of my favourite artists for a long time. I've made a few little shorts this week showing how I painted a Brett Whiteley inspired album cover. In the process I've noticed there aren't a lot of videos about Brett Whiteley's painting and drawing styles on YouTube, and I'm tempted to make a "How to paint in the style of Brett Whiteley" type video. Is this something you'd be interested in watching?

Inspired by the Relief Printing playlist I finally made yesterday, I went through all my playlists today and tidied them up a bit. I also made a brand new one for another oversight, Screen Printing! Check it out at youtube.com/playlist?list=PLI...

I realised today that I’d never made a specific Relief Printing playlist, so have sorted that out today! Find all my linocut and woodcut videos in one place here:

I had grand plans for a new tutorial video to go up today, but am having a few technical difficulties with that project. Instead, I've shifted one of my next projects up the ladder and am working on two videos related to building a guitar pedal. One will be the build itself, but what I hope to have uploaded in the next day or two is this video for the enclosure about painting with acrylics on aluminium. Fingers and toes crossed that it goes to plan!

What a relief it is to be working in a properly organised room! I have a lot of large equipment (and our spare bed/couch, lol) in my studio and the size is not ideal, so organising it properly this past fortnight has been difficult but necessary. This €10 IKEA stool continues to be one of the best purchases I've ever made. I modified it into extra desktop space where I can hang/stack all my rollers, squeegees, cables, headphones, audio interface, pencils, watercolours, midi controller and a power board!

Just tidying up and making some improvements in my studio, and pulled out this oil painting I made a year ago when I was trialling a cardboard panel for the "Turn your old cardboard into a painting panel" video. It's a portrait of our old dog Henry. I just gave it an oiling out, and will put it up somewhere in the house so I can see it every day. <3

Alongside my art tutorial videos, I want to make more music related content this year, so to keep things a bit separate I've decided to repurpose my original YouTube channel for that purpose. I had a bunch of private music practice playlists here and some music videos: I'm keeping anything already uploaded here as well to preserve existing links elsewhere, but anything new and music related will go to the old/new channel instead. Go subscribe at www.youtube.com/channel/UCHLe... if you're interested in songwriting and music production/mixing!

I promise this isn't about to become a music channel instead of a visual art channel, but I'm about to upload another music video. Just how the timing has worked out, I promise! :)
This one is going to be for Orla Gartland's 'Pretending' cover competition, and I've tried to keep it as art oriented as I can, so I hope you enjoy it. I'm hoping to make a longer art process video for this one as well, so keep your eyes peeled.
