IMO: There's one MAIN thing that separates Green Day (and The Offspring, btw) from the other major label punk bands (like blink182). They KNOW HOW to do great songs. Also, awesome review. Subscribe to this dude's channel, it's great!
Universal Music requested to delete Brad Logan's video. They didn't strike me (as Danzig did, or Voodoo Glow Skulls). Only asked to remove, and I did so.
Three months after my YouTube warning, I've deleted all the video compilations that didn't add value to the content. I've transformed Choking Victim, Op. Ivy, Matt Freeman, Jello Biafra, John Lydon, Fletcher Dragge, and Toy Dolls compilations into narrated videos, sharing their stories or noteworthy information. I've also uploaded other videos with stories or commentary.
As you may have noticed, I've used an AI British voice for some videos (which didn't work out as well, but they have the most views). In other videos, I've used my own voice, and for some, I've opted for text commentary.
I'm still trying to figure out how to reupload the Fat Mike and NOFX compilations, which initially started this channel. Unfortunately, Mr. Burkett kindly informed me that he wouldn't be reacting to them, as he's creating his own YouTube content now. I might create commentary videos on those, but I'm still hoping for a miracle to get Mr. Burkett to comment on his own banter.
Tome's note: This channel is not monetized, but I see ads playing on the John Lydon and The Casualties videos. So, I guess it's the labels that are monetizing it, and that's okay. I think it's pretty fair for bands to get paid since I'm using their music.
I'm Tome, a European who puts together nerdy punk rock stories about my favorite bands. This is just a hobby.
I narrate most of the videos, while occasionally using my British-not-a-robot-friend's voice on some. In others I use block texts.
Focus is on punk-related groups from 1975 to 1999, with exceptions - unaffiliated with bands - leveraging "fair use" for songs and clips.
