Hey Fellow Makers! I just wanted to give a heads up on a ācompanyā that that has recently started showing up in FB ads selling patterns with acrylic templates called CHELLIMO. Theyāre stealing their images and video from content creators that offer free patterns and passing them off as their own. How do I know? Theyāre selling an Ice Cream Bowl cozy pattern using MY video and photosā¦ including some with my cropped out face.
Please donāt give them your money. Iām worried that if you do get anything it wonāt be what you thought you were paying for if you get anything at all. The phone number on their website is US based but does not belong to that company. So likely theyāre an overseas scam.
I know this isnāt the first or last time this will happen. Iāve reported them but FB claims itās not a violation of their community standards. To claim my intellectual property, I have to provide my address which they in turn share with the company that Iām reporting. Since I donāt have a business address, Iām not comfortable sharing my home address and risk being harassed.
Soā¦ best I can do is let yāall know. If youāre a creator check them out and see if your stuff is up there too. Much love to everyone! š These are some of the images theyāre stealing and using.
