Elizabeth Nichols is a singer-songwriter from Texas who, in just a few short months, has accumulated more than seven million streams with her online phenomenon “I Got a New One.” But Nichols isn’t a viral artist: The 22-year-old has cultivated a lasting following with original songs like “Ain’t Country,” “Sweet Cigarette,” and “Okie Boys,” each of them delivered in a sweet drawl that’s both relatable and disarming. Her latest release, “Trailer Treasure,” celebrates the simple joys of working-class guys and, like her previous songs, showcases a writing style that mixes Kacey Musgraves cleverness with Toby Keith brashness. Now based in Nashville, she’ll bring her songs to live audiences when she opens for Wyatt Flores and other high-profile stages to be announced later this year.
