This world is broken, marred by pain and suffering. . .
And one of my friends knew that better than most.
After being diagnosed with terminal cancer in January, she underwent multiple surgeries and ended up having her left arm completely removed. They hoped this would give her time.
But in March, she was diagnosed with pneumonia, only to find that it was really cancer in her lungs. And lots of it. By the end of May, she was accepted into hospice, and from there, things progressed rapidly.
God called her home Saturday night (June 8th, 2024).
As me and many others who knew her struggle with the grief, we know that she is with Jesus with two good arms and no more cancer.
Yet, through it all, she was a bright light, never once complaining about her situation and always taking time for others. Her life touched so many and continues to even though she is gone. And though we all miss her desperately, we rejoice in knowing that our prayers were ultimately answered. She is healed.
