Being a mum for children who grown up in a non Arabic country has helped me to understand all the obstacles that face teaching Arabic for the non native arabic speakers.
Some of these obstacles comes from the parents themselves whose expectations are more than dreams. They neglect the different circumstances that their children have. They may even expect their children to speak Arabic without practicing! They have to know that learning Arabic is like learning any other language needs patience. Learning Arabic consists of 4 different levels of difficulty starting from the easiest : reading , writing , listening and speaking. And each level needs good work!
The other problems comes from the teachers themselves who follow some traditional ways that neglect the emotional and educational needs for their students. They may also forget to discuss the importance of learning Arabic with their students or even motivate them.
I hope I can deliver a useful content that will help all !
