I started learning to play the guitar in the late eighties in the pre-internet days. Going to a music teacher was unaffordable. Learning to play the guitar was limited to listening to audio cassettes over and over till I could figure out a guitar part.
Things are much better for beginner guitar players today. There is a lot of free information around. Unfortunately, too much information can be overwhelming and lead to frustration. Progress is slow, and sometimes there is none at all. This often leads a budding guitar player to give up learning.
In the thirty years of learning, playing, and teaching, I have always tried to find simple and easy hacks to learn more about the instrument, and now I would like to share that with you.
