Let Us Appreciate God For Who He Is

*Psalms 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold*

Father God, we thank You for being our source of strength. You are here for us no matter what we face daily, and we are so grateful we can take refuge in You. You are always open to us. You are always willing to help us. You left Your Throne to seek us. Father, we appreciate this, that we are loved by You, we are precious to You. Today, help us to come before You humbly and honestly, we may be able to deceive others, but we cannot hide from You that sees deeper than the depth. Give us the courage to surrender our concerns to You, and help us to trust You with the results. We give our allegiance to You alone as we invite You to become our source of strength today and always. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

*James 5:13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.*

Everlasting Father, we thank You for caring about our troubles. We are grateful that You not only want to hear our problems, but You also want to bring peace to our lives. Lord Jesus, we praise You for all You’ve done in our lives and all that You will continue to do. You are always good—no matter what our situations looks like, You are in control (Daniel 5:21). Thank You for being true to us. Thank You for being constant source of our hope. There is nothing You created that You cannot control. You are good to us in every season 😊. In Jesus’ Mighty Name receive our thanksgiving, Amen.

*He will do for us what no man can do*

While grief is a necessary part of life, no one longs to grieve. But in the second beatitude—a series of promises Jesus made about God’s Kingdom—Jesus said this:

*Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭4‬ ‭*
No one can appreciate rain more than someone who’s lived in the desert. No one can value food more than someone who’s truly been starving. And no one can know God as their Comforter like someone who’s desperately needed comfort.

Death, decay, and disappointment are a part of this world. But even in our sorrow and suffering, God stands ready to comfort us—in unique and meaningful ways that only He can.

The Holy Spirit is often called the “Comforter,” as well as “Helper,” “Counselor,” and “Advocate.” This is who He is. Even in our grief, He’s the God who meets us right where we are and lifts us to where He plans for us.
And so, how does God comfort us? He does this through His Spirit, through His Word, and by working in and through His people.
Do you have the eyes to see how He’s pursuing you? Have you opened your heart to His comfort?
If you are a follower of Christ who is mourning today, remember: Jesus Himself promised that you will be comforted. He’s always good, He’s always faithful, and He’s right here, ready to help.

*PRAYER*

Dear Father in heaven, You see those who mourn, and You promise to comfort them. Please bring healing to our hearts whenever we grieve. Give us hope when we are feeling helpless, hopeless. We need Your strength when we feel overwhelmed. Show us how close You are to us in the midst of our pains, and mourning. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

*A Prayer Of Thanking God For Salvation*

Jesus tells us that the Father and Son are united in love. The Son does not ‘work’ for the Father—instead they work together, and the work Jesus does perfectly reflects the will of His Father.
This relationship reveals that Jesus has authority to give us eternal life with Him and by sacrificing Himself on the cross, He gave us access to a relationship with God

*John 5:24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My Word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to Life.*

Dear Father, I am so grateful to You for the good news of Jesus, the Christ that brought my eternal relationship with You. Help me each day to share Your Word verbally and in my character with those around me so they can experience Your love. Help me to live a life that honors You and inspires others to love You. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
