When I was expediting I couldn’t take time off to enjoy life like I can now. It was always go go go! Hurry up and wait… and the inconsistency of loads due to low rates and a piss poor market made it hard to know if i was gonna have a good or bad month. So I stayed out for months at a time just hoping to have consistency or have a solid month.
Truth be told if I never blew a piston through my engine I woulda eventually run myself into the ground. I couldn’t or maybe didn’t wanna see it and admit it. I just thought this was the industry and the only way I could make money in a cargo van. When in reality the spot market is the bottom of the freight barrel where people start off. While some can and do thrive long term, most do not. If my engine never went out on me I woulda never shifted from FTL to LTL freight.
Bubba and I are soaking up the sun in Westminster, SC for 5 days then it’s back on the road. New episode drops Tuesday. I

Felt great seeing my brother from another mother Jermaine in Blue Ridge GA. Back to the grind today. Hit up Atlanta, Cookeville TN, and scheduled tomorrows first appointment for 10am in Johnson City TN right before I head up to Michigan. Finishing up the next episode as we speak looking to post it tomorrow for 4pm est.
Happy Sunday to you and yours! I’m wrapping up the editing on the beginning of my first leg out of my route. Hope to have a new episode out by Tuesday. Finishing off the week heading to Blue Ridge Ga with Bubba Joe to meet with one of my best friends Jermaine.
Filled up the van here in Harrisonville Missouri at one of the furniture dealers we work with. Heading to Texas next then back out east! Bubba is ready to go!
Took a week off after my 3rd run with the new engine. Back to the grind! New content coming this week!
I know I went ghost after getting my van back post the engine swap. Truth is I was nervous about how the van would run, if it would hold up, and how business would be for me as an owner operator again. I have a lot of updates and news regarding expediting and the direction I’m going in with my van and the show. I’m going to continue taking the next couple weeks off from YouTube then begin cranking out content weekly like I have for the past couple years. It’s been nice to take a break and just focus on getting back on my feet again.
Thank you all so much for having my back and hanging in there with me through the ups and downs.
Love,
Brandon & Bubba
