On October 2, 2024, we have a Solar Eclipse at 10 degrees Libra, a nice ‘bookend” to the Lunar eclipse we had on September 17/18, 2024. This eclipse also brings themes of new cycles, especially those connected with new experiences, how to make your abundance and the support you give and receive. So, keywords for this eclipse and the new energy that it brings are leadership, education, including spiritual education, and abundance. 

This eclipse is also happening in a “sensitive” spot because the Nodes of the Moon transited the Gate 48.1(South Node) and 21.1(North Node) from July 8 to 19, 2024, which might reactivate themes and events that were happening during that time. The entire 53/42 channel that is activated in this eclipse adds to the theme of new cycles and brings a particular focus to Tribal and Logical energy with the concepts of finding patterns that support your material life and abundance. 

The Sun and Moon are exalted in Gate 48.1, which brings your focus to practical ways to improve your life. The South Node in Gate 18.3 talks about the theme of physically or metaphorically cleaning house, in other words, getting rid of anything that no longer serves a purpose, which can sometimes be cathartic. 

The North Node in Gate 17.3 says that sometimes making strides forward in your life and work requires taking a path that might not necessarily be exciting, but it’s a path that can bring positive gains. Gate 48 activated by the Sun, Moon, and Mercury, also brings the potential to make real gains in the improvements you want in your life because the energy of Gate 48 works hand in hand with the energy for improvement of Gate 18, where the South Node is. 

The 45/21 channel is also in play for this eclipse and brings more energy to manifest improvements in your life. Education that can, in turn, lead to more abundance is highlighted with this eclipse. The trick with this manifesting energy is not putting the 'cart before the horse." In other words, it’s about recognizing that life improvements take time to produce results, so patience is vital. 

Mercury juxtaposed in Gate 48.3 adds to the theme of patience with the understanding that there is a lot of “wash, rinse, and repeat” in life to eventually achieve mastery and meaningful changes. Mercury being juxtaposed brings the detriment and exaltation equally, meaning that there will be the potential for a dualistic expression of the energy where you believe that you will never be seen for your skills and talents or alternatively that you understand that good things come to those who wait for right timing. 

Since Gate 48 and 18 are projected energy waiting to be recognized for your depth instead of telling people what you know gives you a much better chance to be valued. Yet, with Jupiter in detriment in Gate 45.5, it might be easier to want to be recognized immediately or when you feel it’s the right time and not in universal timing. 

The Earth in Gate 21.1 brings themes of using force as a last resort when you feel people are trying to undermine your authority, and it conveys the need to exert your power if necessary. With Gate 21 the power that you use is careful and measured and only comes when necessary, so instead of quietly accepting people treating you with disrespect, standing your ground is the right course of action. 

This can be even more prominent in your work or how you make money. If you have earned a place of authority and power, sometimes you need to show or remind people that you are the leader. Venus in Gate 44.5 adds to the Tribal theme of abundance and working with other people, where the message is balance in all things. 

So, if you are required to stand your ground, having a measured approach will give you what you want and not ruffle too many feathers because you ultimately have to work with the same people you are standing up to in the future. Pushing too hard can alienate others and sometimes even create enemies, which nobody wants.

Finally, Mars in Gate 53.1 and Chiron in Gate 42.2 talk about starting a new cycle in your life where you are cognizant that though you want to begin something new, it’s perfectly okay to bring some things, especially experience and the lessons that you learned from the past into the future. 

Chiron in Gate 42.2 means that the new cycle that you are beginning might require that you let go of some things that no longer serve you, so you may feel as though you are losing something, yet what you have to gain far surpasses what you will leave behind. This can be likened to having to move away from your hometown to go to school or begin a new job, and though you feel sad that you are leaving your home, the new opportunities that you have the potential to realize are incredible. 

Overall, this is a time for a “slow and steady” approach because it eventually can bring you big gains. If you stick to your plan, you can create a brand new beginning and cycle that will bear fruit in the future.

Venus moves into Gate 43, which is in detriment in lines 43.1 and 43.5.

The Gate 43 is called “Breakthrough,” where you can have big downloads that can eventually manifest in the future. This is the gate of the "inner ear" that listens to your inner voice and points a finger at the possibilities and mutations of the future.

Venus is not necessarily happy in this gate because Venus likes the good things in life and leisure. However, the downloads with Gate 43 can require much work and patience to manifest, something Venus doesn’t always align with.

The other part of this energy is that there can be anxiety or worry that people may not align with the big ideas you want to make happen or even think your ideas are odd. The key is to allow your ideas and concepts to marinate and to wait until you have clarity. This is an Ajna awareness gate where clarity and all the pieces to the puzzle come over time. When you do have the clarity, your aura will "tell" people that you have something important to share, and that is when you will be asked about what you know, and magic can happen.
