Have you ever tried making salve using dandelions? Who knew these 'weeds' had so many benefits?

Dandelion salve can be used to help soothe dry, cracked, itchy skin. Dandelions have antioxidants that help fight inflammation. I'm always looking for natural ways to help my hands. I'm going to try.

I've picked dandelion flowers (stems aren't required) from my yard. We don't spray our yard with chemicals so it's perfect. That's important because you don't want a chemical infused oil.

Next I placed the flowers on a cookie sheet to dry and put the cookie sheet in the garage. I didn't want the bugs in my house. The dandelions now have to dry for 3-5 days.

Have you had luck making salve? What type of oil do you prefer to use to make the dandelion infused oil?

Did you see my REEL earlier this week? Starting your day with the right breakfast sets you up for a successful day. This is my 'go to' smoothie. It's packed with protein, healthy fat, fruits and veggies. When you eat adequate protein at every meal, your body will feel full for a longer period of time.

How are you doing with your New Year's Resolutions? Have you stuck with them? If you haven't, don't worry. Start again. Get outside today even for a short walk or participate in my 30 Day Yoga Challenge on IG or FB. Each one is only 10-15 minutes. Something is better than nothing. You owe it to yourself to look after your body and your health. You are worth the time and effort. Make yourself a priority.

If you have always wanted to grow some of your own vegetables this year is the perfect time!

Will you have some challenges? YES!

Will you have some success? YES!

It's all trial and error. It took me 3 years to learn how to grow pumpkins. You don't have to plant a HUGE garden. Start small if you like.

At this time of year I sort through my seeds to see what seeds I need to order so l'm ready to start my seedlings in the house in April.

✨30 DAY YOGA CHALLENGE✨Let's motivate each other!
All you need is 10-15 minutes everyday. EVERYONE can take 10 minutes and prioritize themselves everyday. You sometimes need just a little encouragement.
You can do it alone, with your spouse/partner, parents or your children. Age doesn't matter! If you can't sit on the floor, sit on a chair.
I started doing yoga a couple of years ago but l've never been consistent. I have an office job so l used to sit for long periods of time. Sitting is considered the new smoking for my generation so we need to get moving. I started using a standing desk over a year ago and I love it. It certainly helps to keep me moving.
Whether you sit at a desk, sit in a car for extended periods of time or work as a healthcare provider and are on your feet all day, yoga will be helpful. Everyone can benefit from stretching, that's all yoga is, stretching and breathing!
Starting Monday, I'll post on my story on IG every night the yoga I'm completing. I strictly use YouTube. There are lots to choose from. One of my favourites is 'Yoga With Bird'.
Find an instructor you love! Be certain you find the person relaxing to listen to as the instructor explains the movements. Please feel free to comment below with some of your favourite instructors.

Each day is an opportunity to start fresh. If you haven't been successful achieving some of those New Year's Resolutions, it's okay. Start over today. Take baby steps. You will have success and failure in life. It's part of learning. Often we learn more from our mistakes. Be grateful to have the opportunity to start a new day. What goals will you work towards today?

Filming some YouTube videos today. Mocha loves being the centre of attention. She has no fear of the camera. Peanut on the other hand wants nothing to do with being part of the action. 🤣
