Posted this on Instagram but I think my YouTube family can also relate.
I HATED my body after pregnancy🤰🏻
I had what we call - body dysmorphia.
I was not use to the stretch marks on my abdomen nor the saggy skin. Or how my bo*bs inflated to watermelons and then deflated to pancakes then back to watermelons. An endless cycle for over 2.5 years of breastfeeding.
I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror for months … possibly over a year after giving birth to my first, Wyatt. I felt that this new body that I was trapped wasn’t mine. I even looked into all sorts of cosmetic procedure to fix it (and a tummy tuck and breast lift/augmentation)
It took me a while to get here. To love my body as it is. To be proud of the scares that tell the stories of what my body has been through. To set them as strengths rather than deformities.
What started out as a journey to lose weight - transitioned to a journey to build strength. To refocus on healthy lifestyle changes and my own mental health. It’s been a year and I’m excited to see where more time will take us 💪🏽
