Sukhbaatar Square is like the heart of Ulaanbaatar. It's right in the middle with all the important buildings and offices nearby. If you're ever in Ulaanbaatar, you can't miss it!

View of the Orkhon Valley from the vantage point of Kingโ€™s Monument, Kharkhorin, Mongolia. It is a monument commemorating the three major empires that settled along the Orkhon River.- The Xiongnu Empire, The Turkic Khaganate Empire, and The Mongol Empire.

I am uncertain, but Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia, may be the only monastery featuring three Buddha statues from different ages. Most of the temples built in the past were destroyed in the last century, leaving only a few remaining, including the left, right, and main temple.

Each of these temples houses statues representing different ages of Buddha. One statue depicts him at the age of 14, another at 35, which is right after his enlightenment, and the third at 80.

This is significant not only for Buddhists but also a delight for anyone visiting. I am pleased that photography was allowed, and I have images to share.

Do you know which statue represents the young Buddha?

Wrestling, archery, and horse racing are the three main sports in Mongolia, and we want to experience them firsthand or at least watch them! If you visit Mongolia in July, youโ€™ll likely witness the annual Naadam Festival, which showcases their skill in all these sports.

Since our trip is in June, our tour agent organized a mini Naadam festival for us to enjoy. In addition to the sports, we also enjoyed traditional dances performed by young girls and the Mongolian specialty, throat singing.
